Mexican dishes are to be tried here. You can always degust nicely cooked salsa & chips, grilled beef and chicken enchiladas at this bar. The whole impression won't be complete without margaritas that is delicious here. In accordance with the guests' opinions, waiters serve great americano. The cosy atmosphere of El Sombrero makes visitors feel relaxed and have a nice time. If you look through the guests' comments, the staff is cool at this place. Terrific service is something guests appreciate here. Based on the reviewers' opinions, prices are fair. You will be pleased by the fancy decor. The overall score of this spot on Google is 4.4.

We’ve been patrons of El Sombrero for years, in the last year (or so) the food has drastically declined in quality. Most recently I ordered their fish tacos, only to receive oil laden tortillas, filled with a minuscule amount of cabbage & an overly breaded, dried up fish fillet. 2 stars as their chips/salsa is good!
I love El Sombrero. I tried something new (#33), and it was delicious. The chips were so hot and fresh, and the salsa kicks! The waiters are attentive and polite. I just cannot say enough good things. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chips and Salsa
This is a REALLY hard one, because I've been eating here for 15 years. The food is great. The service is 5-star all the time, they are so gracious and polite and eager to serve. But if you go look up a lot of these "menu" websites that have uploaded pictures of the El Sombrero menu, it's like stepping into a time machine...but only going back two years. They have literally DOUBLED their prices....which yes......inflation...economy...makes sense at a steakhouse...but they have doubled their SMALL COMBINATION prices...that are literally 60% Rice and beans....and a couple enchiladas, or a couple tacos. Literal. Time. Machine. $7.45 for Two small tacos, beans and rice.....they are now $14.95. I really hate leaving this review...but I just won't go there anymore. It's my not only firm belief, but educated opinion that they are price gouging, and passing it off as economic hardship and higher ingredient prices. A ribeye steak at a steakhouse isn't even up 20%, and El Sombrero has raised the prices of some of the most BULK BUY, easy to come by ingredient dishes by 100%. I'm not buying it. I feel the pain of the times in a McDonalds drive thru looking at the price of a Big Mac....but I feel like I'm being cheated going here now. 15 dollars for two 2.5 ounce tacos, some rice, and refried beans....Was paying 8.95 for that at lunch, not even 3 years ago. Those prices are off the takehome menu in my office desk at work. We frequented sometimes twice a week. Raise the price of the Pollo Chicken Ranchero. Raise the price of the Carne Asada, The BIG BAD BOY PLATE, the Pancha Villa...was $16.95, it's now $25.95 as I'm typing this. This review won't change anything, but it's needed. Folks are keen to the organic price increases over the last few years in the food scene in Lewiston, but El Sombero's price increases are NOT organic, are NOT calculated with whatever rising food costs. It's gouged. From twice a week, to haven't been in 6 months...once I saw that $14.95 price tag on what used to be the best value AND tasting Mexican cuisine in the LC Valley. It's rice and beans guys....calm the F down please.... Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The staff was very friendly. I went during a not busy time, and was taken care of quickly. The food portions were perfect and everything was delicious. I wish the salsa was a bit hot. It's all mild. Came in for a lunch and the place was not packed at all. Got a seat and drinks almost immediately after walking in and food did not take long. I had the El pastor taco special and it was good minus the super soggy torts. Very bright atmosphere. Went with a bigger group of people and service was great and friendly. Food is always great there. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Steak Fajitas
Fast, big portions, their rice and beans and carne asada are my favorite, tried gordita with shredded beef that was delicious, the enchiladas are excellent too, a standard go to, the orchards location has a full bar and is a beautiful new building, the downtown is more quaint and cozy. Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
