Great spot for breakfast at this hotel restaurant. We ate here 3 times for breakfast during our week stay off Playa la Ropa. Lovely garden patio, many delicious options. Loved the chilaquiles, motoquiles, huevos Oaxaca, eggs Benedict. Nice fresh juice options. Bottomless good coffee and attentive but not overbearing service. Walked here from Thompson Hotel and for much much less had a much much better dinner, enjoyed the beautiful courtyard with mango tree, cacti 🌵 and huge agave. The menu is expensive and accompanied everyone in our party.

Started off a little sketchy. Ordered drinks, and my house wine was horribly oxidized. A new bottle had the same problem (other tables experienced the same). This was rectified with a margarita. Server was very helpful. Our meal was wonderful: my rack of lamb was cooked perfectly med-rare any my wife's shrimp was delicious. The guitar player was very good and the outdoor seating was very comfortable. Even with a rough start, we will be back. They need a better wine buyer! WE JUST WENT BACK, A YEAR LATER. The food was spectacular as before and they have really improved the wines and the wine service. We wanted a glass of red wine and we asked to have a taste of the wines that were available by the glass. Our waiter, Lott, (it was his first night!) was agreeable and actually excited to do that. He brought three bottles to taste (one was not available by the glass, so he opened it) and we tasted all three and picked the one he had just opened. It was way too cold, so we let it warm up in the glass. We ended up drinking the whole bottle! NOW, THAT'S SERVICE!! BTW, the Mussels Rockefeller was delicious! One of La Ropa Zihauntenejo best kept secrets. Delicious food at a great price. The staff is also amazing. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $100–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Eggs Benedict Benedictos
Very underrated restaurant. We stayed at the hotel and decided to eat dinner at the restaurant because we were too tired to go into town and were very surprised. I had the mahi mahi and it was fabulous. Incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend. The staff are also very friendly
Restaurant belonging to a hotel. Service is friendly but slow. Menu selection is medium but offers something for everyone. Meals are very heavy on the garlic. Cocktail menu is small and they are very generous with the alcohol. In my opinion somewhat pricey compared with other establishments. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $900–1,000
We ordered a Greek salad. Our salad came with romaine lettuce, LOTS of cucumber chunks, a few green olives, some thin-sliced tomatoes and ranch dressing. When we sent it back they insisted on making it better although I told them that I didn't trust they could make a good salad after the likes of this one. But they did. The second time around it was a much better salad and included some expected ingredients for a Greek salad like feta cheese, red onions etc. Then our meal came. I ordered salmon and he ordered barbecued pork. His was good except that it was overcooked and a bit dry. My salmon had been previously frozen and was overcooked. I didn't eat it. The best part were the vegetables, unusual and delicious. All the hardest things to do were done well--making good sauces. But a sauce can only do so much to overcooked food. The restaurant was very slow that night so a busy night didn't come into play. When the check came, I was charged the full amount for the salmon that I didn't eat.
