This cafe located in front of the beach absolutely amazing view with the fascinating atmosphere. The food we ordered was delicious and also coffee was great too. But the customer service wasn't good. who served us the waitresses was all right other server wasn't. I think the customer service is more important than food quality for the impression of the restaurant to motivate to visit again. But sorry this cafe food and the view was nice but wouldn't want to visit again. Just once is enough. It is a shame. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely LOVED this place. Not only did we get the most amazing food and drinks, the staff were lovely, the view was incredible as your right on the beach, it was just pure heaven. Loads of food to choose from to suit every persons taste, best food and drink ive had in such a long time! Hugely appreciate this place and recommend to all. Will definitely return!!!

We came here again to enjoy the view and the lovely food. We got three lovely meals of pizza, burger and tacos. The pizza was a half and half as I couldn’t decide. The meat lovers was the better half. But the chicken side was also good. The burger as stated by our on was “good”. The tacos were “different” but nice as stated by the other half. The desert were the bomb. Hubby and I got the same and it was YUM 😋. The boy demolished the sundae. If you are in Waihi Beach it is worth a visit.

good vibes! just anyhow search restaurant in Waihi and I got this wonderful recommendation! Thanks God! lovely people here, good food, and the portion of the food quite big too. Prawn Pizza and the Beach Breakfast both main dishes were kinda my taste! don’t miss out this place! you will regret! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–40

Stumbled onto this place while walking on the beach - it's in a beautiful spot, right on the waterfront. There are big windows all around so you feel you're still out on the beach which I loved. The service was fine - not great, my server seemed a bit grumpy - but the food was wonderful. I got the waffles with bacon, banana and maple syrup, and it was delicious. My flat white was good too. We really enjoyed the dinner. 1 child, 2 teens and 3 adults. There was no complaints. The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I had the steak meal and tried a bit of the Salmon. My steak was cooked to perfection and the Salmon just melts in your mouth. Beautiful flavours I took my little dog and we sat outside. Our waitress who was awesome brought her out treats. Nothing was problem. The other 2 adults i went with are chefs and they really enjoyed their meals. Definately worth going here. Just visited for a coffee / beverage after a little walk on the beach. Beautiful spot, good views and nicely hidden away. There was some emphasis on reservation but really, the place wasn't busy and I felt like the serving staff were a little hung up on that. Having clocked onto this, I didn't hesitate to use the online ordering system they had set up for the tables (QR scan, online pay etc). I'd recommend if you want a quicker service. Place is dog-friendly and the resident black cat was certainly a bonus who didn't mind the canine company (too much). I'd certainly come back here when I'm next up this way. Nice cafe by the beach. I really like the ambiance and location. Foods are superb. Staff are very attentive and friendly. They even updated us that the pizza will take more 10mins than the usual wait. Service was great! Will Definitely come back here.

The fact that they were dog friendly is the reason we went, but the dog friendly zone you also had to order through an app rather than table service. Definatley detracted from a nice dining experience being told to just order through the app and we will bring it out. Nice location, nice food and fast food delivery. I've had the pleasure of shooting several weddings at Flat White Cafe. It's such a stunning location for a wedding, with the ceremony location overlooking beautiful Waihi Beach. There's plenty of epic photo locations close by and the cafe is always nicely styled. Best spot for a beach front wedding in the Bay of Plenty.
