Update:Much improved since last time-quicker, better tasting food with friendly service staff and more “hands on” from manager. Loved the chicken salad, the sauce was brilliant. The selection of fresh goodies was amazing as always, but the ice creams weren’t as over the top as expected them to be. Will definitely be taking the buisness orders here as well as the family back again-seems much more personal than the bigger stores. Tiny but convenient-they are pricey, but was surprised at the generous breakfast when it arrived. Wasn’t knock your socks off in terms of flavor(a few condiments made it much more pleasant). Service was average and food took a while even though they were only moderately busy. Don’t do the buffet style food-constantly opening and closing and double dipping in more than one item puts one off. Would think a big brand like this would try harder overall(not very eco friendly with all the plastic containers). Hollandaise was factory produced (from head office) and was bitter?? Eggs weren’t done properly and manager flirted around doing nothing really.
While they open early for the early risers it’s not really operational from opening times and a Fidelity cash truck often parks right at the entrance with the exhaust pointing directly at open doors - they leave the truck running while they exchange cash boxes and the fumes from the exhaust fill up the store - very unpleasant and extremely unhealthy for customers and staff - thick carbon monoxide pouring into the shop is a problem - suggest the fidelity truck is tasked to park elsewhere during the exchange Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person R 1–50
Got my favorite chicken, avo and feta tramezzini.... I almost didnt snap the meal until the last slice, it is that Gooood
Fournos has always had my respect, but today 2023/02/23 I am highly disappointed as I bought a muffin and it wasn't fresh as expected. I mean this fournos at craighall.
I bought a muesli, yoghurt and fruit cup that costed R59. The fruits were soggy and the muesli (which i expected would be soggy because of the yoghurt) tasted like moth balls and an old cardboard box. It was so overwhelming that I did not finish it. for such an expensive breakfast cup, the least you can do is make sure its fresh. Not my first experience with Fournos Craighall and food that isnt fresh. Thumbs down

Furnos bakery Hyde Park..... I had a horrible experience, very unpleasant..... Got there and asked the lady if the fillings was for the bagel and she rudely said that's not a bagel obviously I know a bagel and I wanted to understand how it was served did not end there she kept calling other staffs pointing and making a mockery of me.... The manager tried her best to resolve it but that left a very bitter taste in my mouth..... After reading reviews now I understand never coming back and every one I know who loves furnos will not atleast the one at rosebank mall is much better......... Horrible I wish I got her name..... You don't treat humans like that.....
Absolutely horrible! No sense of urgency, no customer service. It’s even worse if you’re black because it’s as if you’re being done a favour. I ordered platters for over 5k and every time I would set a collection time I was told I’m being unreasonable, it’s too early and when I arrive I would still need to wait a good 10-15 minutes. I’m beyond annoyed
An update: Fournos posted a generic response to my review and I was assured by SMS reply that someone would be in contact with me. It's now days later and no one has contacted me. Original review: Dry, cold eggs and stale croissant. Chicken wrap had mostly lettuce and hardly any chicken. Zero service, had to get up three times to call a waiter.
Coffee was like water sent it back and still the same with 2nd cup very disappointed with the attudide of the waitress
