Our family adores Franco’s! Best Chicago deep dish around. The people that run it are lovely, they make their own wine and pizza sauce. Their ingredients are fresh and some are imported from Italy or Greece. The atmosphere is romantic with cloth tablecloths and grapevines painted on the walls. Authentic Italian cuisine and desserts. I love the style of this Italian restaurant. The feel and service is fantastic. The wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs and loved it. We also got the meat balls appetizer and thoroughly enjoyed it. The regular pizza was great with a flaky crust that had a light texture. I also ordered the deep dish pepperoni and couldn't eat it. The bottom crust was too thin and the pizza had WAY to much cheese. This was definitely not my style pizza and I LOVE all pizzas. Francos Pizza and Trattoria in broken arrow was a HIT! My old boss told me awhile back Franco’s is a must try. I always get scared trying something new but finally gave it a shot tonight… & it was so worth it!!! We started with garlic bread with mozzarella & their marinara sauce was phenomenal. Then we had a salad with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing that was out of this world. On to the main course we had spaghetti&meatballs the only pic I didn’t get but Franco himself said the spaghetti sauce has been in the family for over 100 years(which I think is pretty amazing). I myself had the Italian beef sandwich with cheese that melted in my mouth with the hot peppers & au ju. My husband had the chicken parm and said it was the best he’s ever had. Everything here is made @ time of order. Everything is authentic & shipped in. Last but not least the DESSERT PIZZA!!!! AMAZING!!!! 😋😋😋 If you’ve made it this far do not let this place be a 2nd option! This will now be our go to! The owners are the sweetest people & just want to make people happy with their business! This local small business is an amazing place to get that fresh tasty pop of flavor! We tried the deep dish pizza, caesar salad, and the caprice salad. The pizza was perfection the crust was so flaky and had the perfect crunch! Everything is made fresh to order which is so refreshing to see ! The girls working were doing an amazing job and despite being busy still made sure we were taken care of! As everything is made fresh to order it can be a little bit of a wait start to finish it was about an hour. The one thing I would recommend going forward for the business is to make sure the guest coming in the door are greeted with a welcome in I’ll be right with you. Granted they were quite busy so we definitely understood and it won’t stop us from coming back! Our family loves Italian food and especially deep dish Chicago style pizza, so we wanted to come try Franco's after we heard they're doing it right. First thing that jumped out to me was their red sauce, I loved their sauce. We got fried mozzarella for an appetizer that came with their red sauce to dip and it was really amazing. We were excited to try a lot of Franco's pizza, we got the margarita, we got a calzone, and we got a stuffed cheese with spinach. We had the margarita first and it came on a thinner crispier crust, I really enjoyed the thin crust and the pizza so good, the fresh basil stood out. After the margarita, we had the calzone come out which was what you'd expect from a calzone, cheesy, but what was different was the flaky crust, it was so tasty and flaky the crust really stood out to me fornthe calzone, and of course it came with more yummy red sauce to dip in. Lastly we had the stuffed cheese and spinach pizza and it was pretty perfect. We have family in Chicago, and we've been to many pizzerias in Chicago and let me tell you, Franco's holds their own. I personally think Franco's pizza is better than Pequod's or Giordano's. Franco's red sauce has more flavor; their crust isn't soggy, it's flaky and crispy. Once again, absolutely delicious. We ordered garlic bread with mozzarella, caprese salad and the baked gnocchi with meatballs. Everything was on point. Service was great, as always. Sometimes the food can take a bit to come out because it is made to order and to that I say, bring some good company with you and enjoy your time with each other because the food will be delicious. Back again for our favorite pizza the Romano. This is it the pizza I have been looking for all my life. Perfect in every way. .......................... A very cozy little restaurant hidden behind Ron’s Hamburgers at the corner of S. Elm Pl and Washington St. Delicious Pizza! Franco’s is my top pick for pizza in Oklahoma. No thick crust deep dish or stuffed pizza for me. The thinner the crust the better. And don’t complicate things; two or three toppings max. Fresh flavorful ingredients are mandatory for the perfect pizza. I just described the Romano, one of Franco’s Specialty Pizzas. We ordered a 14”. The base of the pie was a thin crispy, light puffy crust, amazing. Almost like a pastry crust with a visible application of olive oil. Thin it was, micro thin. On top of the perfect thin crust was a light coating of fresh tomato sauce. The restaurant called it Pomodoro Sauce. That probably means something to Italian food experts. It means a light flavorful sauce to me. Fresh tomatoes, garlic and olive oil. Then came the chunks of the restaurant’s sausage, with prominent fennel and garlic seasoning. Mozzarella scattered across the pie, plump Kalamata olives and the perfect finish, fresh basil. I will never try anything else in this restaurant. This is it; this is my perfect pizza. Chiodo's Pizza. Reviewers have complained about the wait times at Franco’s. There is a black board visible when you walk into the restaurant. It offers an explanation. The Romano pizza we had was ready fairly quickly because of the thin crust. The big thick, stuffed pies are going to take a while. The owner’s wife was our waiter. I asked about the pictures on the wall in the dining room. She told us a little about the restaurant’s owner, Franco. He has operated restaurants for over 30 years in Chicago.
