First I’ve never thought about going to a sushi place when being on vacation at the Azores, but then I thought there is actually no better place to have fresh fish- and it should turn out to be my best food experience on the islands. The fish is super fresh and tasted extraordinary nice. You can taste different kind of fish, not just tuna or salmon. The way the sushi and the rice was made was done in a way I’ve never had it before- and I have had so much sushi in my life already. You could taste and see that it was prepared with a lot of love and care. The service was also the best I’ve had on all the islands, with two very friendly waitresses. We felt very welcomed and they tried the best to make us feel very special. The place is also relatively small what makes it important to make a reservation beforehand- but I actually appreciated that the place was not too full and kitchen and service could really focus on the few guests. Thanks for this amazing evening, we will definitely come back!

The actual food itself, service, and atmosphere all get 5 stars. I give 4 stars overall because of the amount of food you get for the price. My husband and I ordered €100 worth of food and were still hungry when we left. We debated getting pizza across the street when we walked out, but decided to just have dessert instead. It was good, but I probably wouldn’t go here again or recommend it unless you want to overpay for your dinner. The 4 photos I included was everything we got. Amazing experience. It was my first time at Fuji. I have been been to many excellent sushi places around the world and I can say now there is one in the middle of the Atlantic on a small island. Just Incredible!! I’ll be back in these days again for a second round! Fresh, tasty, friendly service, excellent wine card and yeah nothing else to say. Thank you! Best Japanese restaurant in the Azores and one of the best overall restaurants as well. Great attention to detail, service and delicious food, cooked with authenticity. Small points for improvement would be 1. Use slightly better matcha for your fish tempura dish, the one you used was cooking quality (which is fine) but almost brown. 2. You menu lists sencha tea but I beleive it actually was kukicha instead. Overall fantastic and highly recommended Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food is delicious, you taste the superior quality of the ingredients and the expertise of the chef. The staff is very friendly and they explain each dish very nicely. The room is small, but cosy. The music is also very mellow. I am not a sushi lover per sé, but I had an amazing experience! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great place for Japanese food with fresh ingredients. I had their tasting menu, and the Cheff made it right! Everything was delicious, with a couple of highlights…, but I guess each night is different, so, just trust the chef Omakase style! Service was exceptional. So was the presentation of every dish, with so much attention got every single detail. The food was good but the sushi was not the best I’ve tried. That being said, the mochis were so delicious we ordered them twice. Very friendly service and a cute little restaurant. Given this place asks a bit more than the average Japanese restaurant on the island, the food was ok, not outstanding. Everything was fresh, some items I found lacking a bit in the last 5-10% of achieving that "wow, tasty!" effect. Still, not a bad evening at all and not a waste of money either. Some of the best sushis I had in my life (including those I had in Tokyo). Extremely fresh products, I went for the 8 dishes tasting menu. Everything was great, even the spinach salad. Service was classy, nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Totally recommended !!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
