It was cool ! After a long and busy Intel day, we're looking for a place to at least fill our bellies and refresh with some cold drinks and we drove all the way to G.Sparrow (THANKS TO OUR SENIORS). The service providers attended us well and their dishes + juice were so delicious (thanks to the chefs).
The lounge is amaizing well design will equipment to enjoy , the staff of sparrow lounge are not organized at all ,not friendly, a lot of mess up , something very bad the staff are not polite, the owner should look on this to bring well trained staff with good hospitality to reach customers expectations.
Place was dark when we arrived, can hardly see your food. We arrived at 8 and half the food came at 9 (they forgot about the other half). The waiter was rude and would leave when we were speaking to him. They are always also just sat around gossiping and taking photos of the food! Food was so bad, it came cold and found a piece of plastic in the chicken. Service was terrible! Food was terrible! Place was terrible! Would not recommend.
Visited it last night for a party. Totally safe for foreigners. You can find there successful people from Karatu, eating, dancing and having gut at nights. Not far from the main road
Avoid this place! Bad food and staff just looking to rip you off. 14,000 for dry tiny serving of chicken and chips. Even in a touristy town like karatu that is an absurd price to charge. 5,000 for tomatoes and onions on the side (which is included free anywhere else). Small bottles of beer for 6,000. You don't even pay that much in Serengeti! Asked for an explanation of the prices. Was quoted a lower more reasonable price by a manager before the waiter jumped in, took the manager aside for a long conversation and when the manager came back, the price was back up to 14,000. If you aren't local, you're getting ripped off here. And if you are local, the food is still terrible. Go get chicken and chips from a street vendor. It'll be 100% better and cheaper.
