I stayed one night in the Golden Surfer Beach Hotel. The place and view of the Hotel is hard to beat, right to the beach you can hear the ocean while sleeping and can watch the sunrise from your bed. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets clean.. The whole family is very friendly and helpful , i highly recommend the home made curry and the fruit plate. All places are in walkable distance around the hotel. I felt very good taken care of during my stay.

I have stayed in Golden Surfer for four beautiful nights. It’s right on the beach very close to the city center,great location. It’s a family business,great people with golden hearts!! They run a restaurant which is right in front of the hotel and their food is amazing! And they also give surfing lessons!! Thank you for everything I had a great time !!

I have been 3 days in Golden Surfer Beach Hotel and it's amazing. Perfect location, just on the beach😍 The room was big and clean. The staff is super super nice, just helping anytime. Food and cocktails were super good also. I totally recommend this place, hope to be back soon☺️

The room is very spacious and has the best view from the terrace! 🌴 You are waking up to the sound of the ocean waves and palm tree views. The family running the hotel is very friendly and helpful should you need anything. The location is unbeatable, the ocean is basically right in front of you. 100% recommended ⭐️

My whole stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel room had a fantastic beach view… the beach is so close by. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And the sea food was so delicious! ||It was just an amazing feeling falling asleep while listening to the waves. ||If you go to Tangalle, you must stay here!

The worst experience in whole Sri Lanka. The portion of chips for 990 LKR was ridiculous. The service was the worst I ever experienced on the whole world!

We had the best of times in Golden Surfer Beach Hotel. Super great location on the beach with view on the ocean from the rooms 😍 Staff is incredibly nice, helpful and willing to make the best out of your stay (surf lessons, fishing trip, fire on the beach at night, driving you if needed,…) ! The rooms are big, cleaning is ok and food also. Super good cocktails. I highly recommend this place 🌴🕺🏻🎣🔥🍹 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

We didn't stay here - we ate at the beachfront restaurant. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this was a very poor experience. We waited 90 minutes for our food. When it arrived it was absolutely tiny portions, and stone-cold. Mankey fries, and the presentation looked like it had been slopped on the plate. It was very expensive for the tine dross that was served up. They didn't hesitate to add the 10% service charge for our extra long wait. ||Two for one cocktails were a bit of a joke. It should say, one small cocktail, served in extra small glasses. Who serves Pina Colada in an extra small wine glass?||Shame as we decided to eat here as the staff member was saying that they are suffering from very few tourists passing (due to Covid). ||We left hungry and would rate it as the worst meal so far in Sri Lanka (and we've been here for two months so far).||There are some incredible family restaurants nearby, but sadly we didn’t have a great experience here. On the plus side, the restaurant has beachside tables and chairs looking out to the ocean.
