I decided to take my girlfriend to lunch for her first time at Goldie's for lunch. I told her how much I like Goldie's and that she would enjoy the yummy pickles. I don't go to the Broken Arrow location too often but I figured it would be similar to the others. We ordered our food and it came in a timely manner. The waitress was very nice and attentive. When we got our food, I immediately noticed my hamburger was tiny. Then I noticed how dirty my plate was (unlike my friends plate which was very clean). Keep in mind, this is a $12.95 burger. I was pretty disappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
I have been watching the parking lot at Goldies for a while. The business seems to be doing fair. There is a huge discrepancy in the rating. Yelp has a sad rating of 2.4 (36 reviews) while Google reviewers seem to like Goldie’s better awarding it with a 4.1 rating (650 reviews). I have found that more reviews usually provide a better assessment of the business’s actual performance. The nostalgia for a Goldie’s charburger, was stronger than the fear of a bad dining experience. My last experience at the Goldie’s in Pryor was great. So, I’m in for giving the BA store a try. We had a new waiter. He was inefficient and fumbling a little here and there, but overall, it worked out. The pickle bar is gone, in its place the waiter brought a generous bowl of the mixed pickles. Still good like they used to be. The burger was a good thick lean beef patty with the Goldie’s signature char flavor on a toasted bun. Smaller than I remember. A very simple, uncomplicated burger. It came with a leaf of fresh lettuce, several crisp onion rings and a slice of tomato. Decorate it as you please. The fries were perfect. These were the coated fries. They stay crisp throughout the meal; even crisp when they are cold. I thought it was a great meal. I would rate it as better than 75% of the burgers I have had in Tulsa. The restaurant itself is in desperate need of a reimage and make over. New management is needed. It is time to break from the past. The restaurant is still the dreary gloomy green inside. Most of the diners in the restaurant this afternoon had gray hair, and there like me for the nostalgia of a Goldie’s Char Burger. If you weren’t around when Goldie’s was in its peak …well it is hard to explain the draw. Visiting from Dallas and I always crave Goldie’s coleslaw, so I pick some up on every trip. This time, when I asked for crackers to go with it, I was told they now charge $3.99 for a side of crackers. Really?! They give them for free for dine in, they even keep a basket on the table! I just needed a couple packs to eat with my coleslaw, but they won’t do it. So I just paid $3.99 for a “handful” of saltines, most of which will end up in the trash because I literally just needed a couple. This stupid “management policy” will cost them more than the price they pay for crackers in the long run. Seriously, they’ll probably start charging for ketchup packets with burgers next. On my next Tulsa trip, I’ll go across the street to Ron’s for their coleslaw, where they don’t charge for crackers. Updating my review after a terrible response from the owner…. Giving two packets of crackers, and not charging $3.99 for it, is not “giving away free food”, it’s basically giving a condiment and not ripping off the customer. Also, we had a craving for more coleslaw today, but decided to go to Ron’s across the street. Equally good, and not getting robbed. Value matters- this place clearly appreciates their guests more. Dec 2021. Great experience in Broken Arrow! No pickle bar these days. I assume that that's a result of COVID. Our server happily brought us a bowl of pickles though. I wish I could remember the server's name because she was excellent. She had multiple tables, maybe all of them, and she was killing it. Made me the best Arnold Palmer I've had in a long time and didn't seem annoyed by the special drink request. Dinner was delicious, as always. I should have ordered mine medium instead of medium well, I don't know what I was thinking. It came out more like well done but it was still delicious because of that special seasoning. Overall, very pleased and will remember to eat here more often because it's always been a great choice. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
I love Goldie's. I worked there for years before Steve & Brian took over. Went to eat last night and they were not busy (parking lot was barren, so we got seated). There was no silverware, no napkins, no crackers. I remember there being a basket of crackers on the table. There is not even Club crackers anymore. You can't get pickles yourself either, but when they brought us pickles, they were old and soft and blah! The bread & butter pickles were so mushy & disgusting (probably because they were in the back & old). So, we ordered our food (Country Dinner & Chicken Plate. It was supposed to come with lettuce & tomato but that was invisible I guess). Waited at least 20 minutes for our food. She brought out our coleslaw before the meal...still no silverware. She did bring crackers...5 packs. We had to use the crackers & our fingers to eat coleslaw! Coleslaw was dripping on the table....no napkins to wipe it up. Our server had no personality and was lazy. Our food finally came, and woo hoo, silverware with ONE napkin. I thought about cutting my napkin in 1/2 so I could have two napkins. The food was great! We thought that since all the other restaurants around were crowded, we would get good fast service...WRONG. If we did need anything, our server was no where to be found to ask for anything. Just thought could you all be a little more cheap?! Come on, put some napkins out, crackers, pickles (the Corona Virus is here to stay). That is what Goldie's in known for...Pickle bar, coleslaw & crackers! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Country Dinner

Neighborhood grill that’s been in the same spot since the 70’s. My daughter totally enjoyed the bacon cheese burger. She was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. The fried mushrooms were fresh and hot, so were eaten pretty fast due to their crisp tastiness. I had the smothered chili burger... fantastic.
Service and atmosphere were fantastic, I loved it. Everyone was so friendly, the food was not so good. The tea, not as good as it used to be. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Hamburger

I ordered a medium-rare burger and the center was RAW, not rare but raw as in it was moosh, bright red moosh. The servers were nice but they hang out in the dining area and often talk over the customers eating. I guess it's because they are young rookies, customer service needs attention. The first thing our waitress said is they don't do the pickle bar because of covid. You couldn't have thought of anything else to say after three years. The burgers tasted like they were pre-cooked frozen burgers reheated. There is no way this place uses fresh meat. You will get a better burger at any fast food place in town.
