Used to be my favorite place to go so I recommend this place for our gathering. I got split water all over due to a small accident from the staff which is ok, food is good, mosquitoe bite all over my foot and in my cup. And sadly I ordered a soy Flat white, came on the table I taste very sweet and not normal taste, so I asked the staff if they can double check for me. They came back advise me it is definitely soy flat white they are 100% sure, then said "if you are not happy we can make you a new one so you are happy."
I did not ask for a new one because it is already sounded like I am creating trouble.
At the end of my cup a thick layer of chocolate (as photo) was there, I don't think this is what a normal flat white would have. Anyways I did advise the staff but no one cares. It's a bit disappointing as here used to be my favorite place, I understand it's a busy Sunday lunch time and plus you probably doesn't care about losing one small table of guests, but I do believe things can at least be better and back to the good quality, it is not a good feeling when clearly my food is wrong but I am the bad person there for the day thats creating trouble. Have to say luckly I don't have allergy to chocolate or else it would be a more interesting day for sure.

Super cool space in the heart of the shore. This place is finally giving smales farm some charm and character. There is genuinely a reason to go here now. There is food, sushi, restaurant and an awesome outdoor bar. Saturday nights they have a DJ playing. It's a little pricey for the shore but cheap compared to CBD.
You could even catch the bus into town afterwards because it's right next to the northern Express.
All around great vibe and awesome venue for summer brews
We ordered two appetizers and a pizza to share. The apps were good. The pizza had caramelized onions on it that were completely black and burned. We had to take them off the pizza they tasted so bad. We were shocked they put that on the table but didn’t say anything as we were ready to get out of there asap. The young girl who served us was short and rude with us from the very start. She told us twice she would bring us water. After our food arrived and we still had no water, I got up to ask her if she could bring us some when she got a chance. She very rudely replied “I’m bringing it.” Obviously she forgot and that’s okay but no need to be so nasty about it. Better to admit it and apologize. I’ve never written a bad review for a restaurant as I’ve worked countless serving jobs and know it’s hard work. However, the attitude of the staff was horrible and ruined the experience.
A real gem in Smales Farm. We stopped by one evening just to see what was in the new development. The venue was great. Open air theme but still under cover. Rough wooden furniture and sand on the floor added to the beach feel. Really great sharing plates. We tried 3 between 2 of us which was a bit much - but they were very tasty. Staff were friendly an helpful. We will definitely go again.
