Do not leave without eating perfectly cooked grilled halibut, crab cakes and mushroom risotto. Try good chocolate cakes, crème brûlée and coconut ice cream. We’ve been here twice for lunch and three times for dinner. Over these visits, my rating would be 3.5 stars. Think it’s one of the better restaurant experiences in Gig Harbor for USA food. The highlight here are the staff/servers who have always been nice, attentive and helpful during all of our visits. Also the restaurant atmosphere is pleasant, nice enough decor, clean, and busy but not crowded feeling. Drinks here are good, the wine here is always nice. The food quality and presentation are consistently good, but rarely special / unusual or exciting, and to us it sometimes falls a bit flat. Example: today we had the Dungeness crab melt with tomato on sourdough bread. It’s just not special, it’s a slice of decent sourdough bread, a bit of Dungeness crab meat, tomato slice laid on top, with cheap tasting cheddar cheese melted on top — if there is something else added to make it nice e.g. cream or herbs, I could not detect it. It comes with side salad or soup, we had the seafood chowder, which was your typical flour laced thick glop with some decent taste, not a proper cream chowder with nice broth. Not imaginative but edible. The ling cod fish and chips were pretty good, with a good serving of nice flavorful fish. So this is a nice place to go, with usually good food, nicer than many places in Gig Harbor, but not going to stun anyone with scrumptious food that you’ll dream about. My wife is vegan and cannot always find a good choices on the menu at many restaurants. Here she found a mushroom burger which she thought was fantastic. I had duck breast which was delicious. My wife and I went here for our 2nd Anniversary and it was amazing! I rarely leave a review for places I visit but I can honestly say this is the best meal I have ever had. I had the halibut risotto and it was absolutely spectacular. It was like a firework show of flavor and could not recommend it more.

I had dinner last night at Greenhouse with my family and it was great! We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to squeeze us 4 in the bar area no problem. We started with the Herbed Goat Cheese and Coconut Crusted Prawns. These were absolutely delicious, I will definitely be ordering these again next time I am in. For our entrées, I had the Flat Iron Steak Salad, my mom had the Wild Seafood Sauté Salad, and my brother got the Filet (subbed his potatoes for brussel sprouts). My grandma go the chowder (not pictured), but it was great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I will definitely try to explore more of the menu next time I am back in. Our first couple of experiences here were great. As usual, the service was amazing, but the food was a little disappointing. I had the croquet with the sauce ( I was told it'd be on the side so I could try it). The sauce was flavorless and made the sandwich soggy, was unable to eat it, but the fries were good! The husband got the Waygu burger and mentioned it wasn't the same quality as usual. He also got an old Fashioned and the cherry garnish was not palatable, mentioned it was bitter. I got two of the Blueberry Lavendar Lemondrops to drink. Beverage was good. However, fresh blue berry flavor versus an artificial syrupy flavor would of made it amazing.
