We’ve been here twice for lunch and three times for dinner. Over these visits, my rating would be 3.5 stars. Think it’s one of the better restaurant experiences in Gig Harbor for USA food. The highlight here are the staff/servers who have always been nice, attentive and helpful during all of our visits. Also the restaurant atmosphere is pleasant, nice enough decor, clean, and busy but not crowded feeling. Drinks here are good, the wine here is always nice. The food quality and presentation are consistently good, but rarely special / unusual or exciting, and to us it sometimes falls a bit flat. Example: today we had the Dungeness crab melt with tomato on sourdough bread. It’s just not special, it’s a slice of decent sourdough bread, a bit of Dungeness crab meat, tomato slice laid on top, with cheap tasting cheddar cheese melted on top — if there is something else added to make it nice e.g. cream or herbs, I could not detect it. It comes with side salad or soup, we had the seafood chowder, which was your typical flour laced thick glop with some decent taste, not a proper cream chowder with nice broth. Not imaginative but edible. The ling cod fish and chips were pretty good, with a good serving of nice flavorful fish. So this is a nice place to go, with usually good food, nicer than many places in Gig Harbor, but not going to stun anyone with scrumptious food that you’ll dream about. I had dinner last night at Greenhouse with my family and it was great! We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to squeeze us 4 in the bar area no problem. We started with the Herbed Goat Cheese and Coconut Crusted Prawns. These were absolutely delicious, I will definitely be ordering these again next time I am in. For our entrées, I had the Flat Iron Steak Salad, my mom had the Wild Seafood Sauté Salad, and my brother got the Filet (subbed his potatoes for brussel sprouts). My grandma go the chowder (not pictured), but it was great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I will definitely try to explore more of the menu next time I am back in. We had a lively party of 10 for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner. Kimberly was fabulous, we could not have had better service. The flavor of the food amazing. Top end and a great place in Gig Harbor for a special night out. We loved the kids and gluten free menu, the Wagyu Burger and Rib Eye Steak, exceptional. Love,Love,Love this restaurant. The decor and music set the mood for an enjoyable evening. There is lots of greenery that doubles as partitions, clever. The restaurant is clean, and the bar was organized & the countertop didn't have the sticky feel that most bars do. The seating at the bar is comfortable. Additionally, there is indoor/outdoor seating. We came in about 10 mins to closing and were still able to sit at the bar to order anything on the menu. We were not rushed out and were given the most amazing service by all staff. Not once did I see the staff rush anyone out or ignore anyone. The Greenhouse cocktails list has thoughtfully named drinks, thay are tasty,created by the owner. She is clever. There is something on the menu for everyone, and it's good. If you don't eat meat, you can ask for it to be left out. Lots of gluten-free options. However, they specifically stated they are not a GF certified kitchen. I must say that the plating of all the food is beautiful, clean, and appealing. For the appetizer, we chose the herbed goat cheese with roasted garlic baguette. It was delightful and flavorful. The baguette was toasted to perfection, and the goat cheese was soft, tangy, and flavorful. It was a perfect start to the meal. The wild seafood saute salad was packed with tons of seafood covering a bed of spinach. I thought it would be small, but I was surprised, as this is a massive bowl filled with seafood, tomatoes, carrots, and mushrooms cooked in a wonderful wine sauce. Seafood lovers, this is a must!!! What a smart & tasty way to reduce carbs. I think I was able to eat 1/3 of it and took the rest home. I wish I could remember what one of the steaks we got, I think it was the ribeye, but it was perfectly done. He likes them more on the rare side. It is difficult for him to find a steak done the way he likes it, BUT his steak was cooked perfectly to his liking in both temp and taste. It was sitting atop a fluffy bed of garlic mashed potatoes. A side of rosemary au jus and grilled/sauted fall veggies (mushrooms, bell peppers, & Zuchinni). He ate every bit of it and loved it all. The staff talked with us not only about the food but about themselves and how happy they are to work there. Management and owners are doing a great job. Your staff loves the creativity and the food. It was our first time there, but we will be back. We have several recommendations of meals and drinks to try. My wife is vegan and cannot always find a good choices on the menu at many restaurants. Here she found a mushroom burger which she thought was fantastic. I had duck breast which was delicious. This place has the best food overall of any Gig Harbor restaurant we've visited, and it has become our go-to for a special night out. The crab cakes are my favorite and my husband loves the roast chicken, but we have never had anything here we didn't like. They also have a great happy hour in their upscale but cozy bar area (delicious chowder, calamari, burger, and more), and a wonderful 3-course Twilight Menu that's real bargain. I've also been here for group women's lunches, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Most of the servers are very friendly and do their jobs well - only a couple not-so-great experiences that I am guessing were new employees and still learning. Sunny, warm evening, we just had to get out of the house and find good food with atmosphere. Did we hit the jackpot! Just stepping through the front door we were greeted warmly and led immediately to an outdoor table. With all the plant life around, the space doesn’t feel like you’re in a multi store crowded environment. And the smell of jasmine floated around throughout the dinner. Ok on to the food. But first, a lavender blueberry lemon drop! Crazy tasty. The crab cakes were perfectly done and the sauce complimented perfectly. Roasted chicken, a standard lots of places but this was so moist and crispy, and flavorful. We didn’t really know what to expect here, but now our expectations for the future are bright! My husband and I love finding amazing restaurants as a hobby, and this place definitely makes the list of places we want to return to. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the flavors were on point. My husband and I ate here for the first time. Love the atmosphere here. Servers were very attentive and friendly! We went during lunch, it wasn't busy when we got there but the wait for our main entrees took a bit. We ordered wagyu burger, chicken piccata, a bowl of chefs soup of the day and fried calamari. For the price, portions were pretty generous. My entree was good but not great. My chicken was a little too over seasoned with salt for my taste so I didn't get to finish even half of it. No table bread was offered or served either so that was a bummer. Definitely going back again to try their dinner menu. Highly recommend if you haven’t tried this place yet.
