I had an absolutely wonderful meal of creole redfish with shrimp, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Our waiter Steven was a delight. Wish I was going to be in town longer to dive deeper into the menu! Seeing what other patrons were eating makes me sure that Oysters on the Halfshell will always be a place I visit when I'm in town. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stopped by for some raw oysters, they were fresh opened, juicy and WARM, we couldn’t eat them, sent back and requested cold ones, gave us cold dried up ones, explained to our server “Chip” this was unacceptable. He was so rude and unapologetic that we paid for our drink and left, will not recommend and will never return. Chip was a douche, we drove to boathouse bar and grill and received excellent service and fresh opened juicy oysters! See photo

I got the Bananas Foster which was truly magnificent. It came with a side, which I got a salad and they fixed it exactly how I wanted it (substituted some items for others). I have eaten here a few times before and they are consistent every single time with a great dining experience. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. EXCELLENT! I live in Texas and have been to Mississippi twice, but each time I have been there, I have to stop in Gulf Port to eat here and get the Fried Green Tomatoes and Crab cakes. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!! The Boudin Balls are good, and my husband said the Oysters are really good! The food is amazing and the staff is awesome! If you are traveling through Gulfport, you have to stop and eat here! Tim was a great server! Recommended some dishes and mostly left us to eat and enjoy our meal. Only small issue was that as the sun set the light came directly in through the glass doors and my husband had to wear his sunglasses for the last 15 minutes of our meal 😂 Best oysters (charbroiled) I’ve ever had!!! This was my third time coming to the restaurant but the first time everything was PERFECT. The first thing that was ordered were the drinks(order the watermelon splash, you won't regret it) they were great, not too strong, full of flavor but enough alcohol to feel the buzz. As an appetizer we ordered the fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. I'm not a fan of fried green tomatoes BUT the crab cakes made up for everything the green tomatoes were not. The sauce they had on top was HEAVENLY! Lastly was the entree. I ordered the ribeye and paired it wish hushpuppies and broccoli. Everything was SO GOOD.
