I recently had the pleasure of visiting this hidden gem, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The location is simply gorgeous, offering unparalleled views that make for a truly unforgettable experience.

The service was commendable, with attentive staff members ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. We visited for lunch, and I can confidently say that it's an ideal spot for both lunch and dinner. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it suitable for a casual.
A small tip for future visitors: it's advisable to bring cash as the card machine doesn't always work smoothly. This minor inconvenience is easily outweighed by the overall positive experience this place has to offer.

Chicken Wings
The location was lovely and a bit off the beaten path. Hence my reason for staying and declining the host impolite suggestion that I go somewhere else if I couldn’t stand the cigarette smoke in the bar area.
This place is NOT FOR NON-SMOKERS as they REFUSED to put a table outside which they could have done if they wanted. And, it’s not for single diners either. They could have been nicer but they chose to be nasty.
Like many places they put ‘reserved’ on their better tables, in this case all the vacant the tables outside of the bar area of which there were three empty tables outside the whole time I was there (6PM to 7:15PM).
The clientele were largely Euro-smokers lighting up in an eating establishment with no regard for non-smokers who actually like to eat in a clean air environment. The air in the bar was heavily scented with second-hand smoke. When you work in a smokey bar you tend not to notice it as much as a non-smoker does. Instead of accommodating a non-smoking diner at a table outside of the bar area, they had a nasty ‘take it or leave it attitude’ and said the tables outside were taken. They were expecting people at any moment. But Nobody came. NOBODY showed up to ‘take’ one of those reserved tables for the 75 minutes I was there; zip, zilch, nada. Nobody.
Their Mai-Tai cocktail was weak and a bad mix. Hmm? Was that on purpose? The beer battered fish was too salty, the batter RAW clinging on fish while the battered exterior was oily and crisp suggesting dirty oil and/or the oil was too hot when cooking the fish. The French fries were also oily and dark suggesting dirty oil or the oil temperature too high. The tatar sauce was an odd tasting tarragon and green hotdog relish mix with mayo. It was inedible.
I will not be returning, surprise surprise.

Of all the restaurants on Montserrat, this was definitely my favorite. The sunsets were right out of your favorite movie... You will not find a better sunset anywhere, period! The food is very good and made from scratch upon your order... Do not miss Montserrat and Isle's Bay Beach Bar!

It's no wonder Isle's Bay Beach Bar (formerly Hanks, like 5 yrs ago) is consistently ranked among the top beach bars in the Caribbean. I've never tried a dish I didn't love (we've been going 1-2x a week for 2 months and no plan to stop), they have THE best burgers (homemade patties), the best fish & chips (homemade fries) and best pizza (homemade fresh dough) on island. The owners, Alec & Joanne, are lovely hosts, charming and on-the-ball. The cooks are prompt, their food delicious and always piping hot. The wait staff, shout out to Romena & Dani, are friendly, prompt, courteous, and always eager to please. Add to this the gorgeous beach backdrop with breathtaking sunsets. WINNER!

Excellent beach bar with incredible food offerings. Rated one of the top 10 Caribbean beach bars 2 years running. If you like hot, don't leave without having the wings but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Time your visit to catch one of the best sunsets on the Emerald Isle.

We were taken here by our tour guide and it was a nice experience. The food was good, the menu was more international than local but thats fine with me. The restaurant is painted beautifully as well as the bar and there are some cool things to look at around here. I had the fish and chips and it was yum, and few other people enjoyed the wings and burgers and wahoo steak!
