I'm only now getting around to finally trying Harrows chicken pie after hearing about them for years on a local foodie TV show. The chicken pies are great with a delicious perfect crust and big chunks of chicken. The sauce component was a nice balance of flavor not too salty. I really wanted to love the corn bread but I honestly didn't, it had a bitter flavor, maybe it doesn't contain sugar like some corn bread, but that is my only complaint. The service was pleasant. Just know that it's not a sit down and eat kind of place. Call one hour ahead to pick up hot food to take home or stop in and buy a frozen pie to bake yourself later. We have ordered from Harrows several times and never had an issue.. Until now... I bought a fresh pie that I was not going to eat within 2 days, so I wrapped it tightly in glad wrap in put it I the freezer. I cooked it tonight and it smelled delicious as always. My husband and I couldn't wait to eat it. As my husband and I began eating it we both stopped, saying it was NOT right. Everything about the color and smell about the pie was ok, but the flavor was TERRIBLE. When I called she told me I didn't freeze ot right and I was tasting freezer burn so it was my fault. I have frozen these before and have NEVER had this issue. I have also tasted freezer burn on icecream, and this is NOT what we believe to be freezer burn. She offered me nothing, other than "well, its freezer burn.." We will NOT be coming back, and I have many friends/family that I know will not either! Update: After my review the manager from the main hub reached out to me. She apologized for the behavior of the employee and sent us a card to try another pie. Harrows Chicken Pies have been around for over eighty years and for good reason! Made fresh daily, the small, family-run take-out chain is well-known and reliable. Chicken Pot Pies in various sizes are sold three ways: fresh, frozen, or hot! (Call ahead for hot!) There are also freshly made dessert pies and several side dishes. All this and fast and friendly service! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Crust was just like my Nana's and ample large pieces of white meat chicken, potatoes, and carrots. Sauce was delicately seasoned, as it should be. I can't wait to try the blueberry pie we bought. Highly recommended! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Heard about this place a few times and the reviews seemed good, so I decided to check them out. I’m a big fan of a chicken pie so I had high hopes. I wasn’t disappointed. I bought a non frozen pie with chicken and vegetables. Baking it was easy and it tasted good. Chicken was moist and fresh. Only downside is it could have used some more seasoning. Great Place to get Quality Pies! I got mine, Chicken with Vegetable Pie, 1 Serving, Fresh and Ready to Cook. Every Pie has their printed instructions on them so you know what to do when you bring it/them home. These instructions apply if you buy it Frozen or Fresh and from 1 Serving all the way to 4 Servings.

Crust is ok, pie had no flavor. Had to add a fair amount of seasoning to eat it.
