Come for a meal right after visiting Texas City Dog Park. That's a good idea to order perfectly cooked fried chicken, chicken strips and rolls. This fast food offers you good ice cream. In accordance with the visitors' opinions, waiters serve good tea. Hartz Chicken is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. You may be surprised by democratic prices at this place. When inside, the atmosphere is peaceful. Based on the guests' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.

I'm a big fan of this place. It's a fried chicken buffet. How could you go wrong. They have lots of options on the buffet. Fried gizzards, chicken livers, Buffalo wings, fried fish, baked chicken, and chicken tenders. And those are a lot of my favorites. They also have gumbo. Plus all the sides like collared greens, beans, rice, cabbage, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes with white and brown gravy, and really, really good yeast rolls. The ice cream is just ok, but it goes great with the peach cobbler and bread pudding. All of this plus a full salad bar with fresh salad, dressing, coleslaw, and the usual dressing plus tartar and cocktail sauce. Jello and pudding are out there, too. They have a drive-through that's always busy, and lots of staff making sure that the restaurant is taken care of inside and out. This location is the one closest to my house, and it's a regular spot for us. A great place to bring your kids because they will definitely find something they will like. If you don't like buffets, they have a regular menu that you can pick and choose whatever you want. If you're a fan of fried chicken and like a great choice of sides, this place should be on your list. It's a favorite of mine, and I dream of fried chicken. 🍗 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The fish is amazing, the first thing i go to. Make sure to eat it with the tartar sauce, you wont regret it. The chicken tenders are also really good. The hot wings are actually pretty bad in my opinion, the rolls are good, mashed potatoes and gravy okay. The jalapenos are so fresh and spicy, i love them! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Just left hartz on palmer, I ordered a gizzard livers mix. So after I order someone else comes along and ordered well done livers. So after waiting an extended length of time I get my food and go home and lo and behold every liver in my meal burnt. I called and spoke with the manager and told to bring the livers back not the gizzards so they are only replacing the livers not the whole order so hot liver and cold gizzards. I normally enjoy Hartz but never been to a location that changes your order to match an order for someone else or just replace the whole order.A decent manager would have handled it properly. Anyway the gizzards were good as for the livers tried one and they taste like they look trash. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

Very good baked chicken, shrimp was decent, fish was really good, as well as the brown gravy (to my surprise, cause I typically don’t eat brown gravy…..but they had a limited menu so I was like “go for it”). EVERYTHING and I mean everything else, was not worth eating. I had the mac and cheese (taste like “noodle water”), gumbo (had no flavor profile of traditional gumbo), dirty rice (which did not have flavor profiles of dirty rice), the chicken tenders were undercooked and “gristley”, and the peach cobbler was more a bread pudding with peaches. The food wasn't that great the entire place was filthy. The bathrooms were worst than a nasty gas station bathroom. My partner had none stop diarrhea after we were done eating there. Most of the employees were just standing around. Would never go back. The place is a dump. The cob webs and return ac vent looked liked it had year's of dirt build up , never cleaned even the ceiling fans were filthy..The manager needs fired and need new employees that want to work and take pride in their work..... Cold mashed potatoes covered with warm gravy were not very appetizing my favorite baked chicken was cold. I informed two separate people nothing was accomplished. They did not care.Then one of them ca N e and mixed more mashed potatoes with old ones did not help temperature. Will be long time before going back. You see we were there at a prime dinner time. I wish they would have tried harder. Was always a favorite for me. I saw one girl throw apiece of macaroni on the ledge for trays back into the macaroni and stir it back in. Come on. $23 wasted. It's ok. My husband likes the fried catfish. Last time we were there, there was none out, so I asked about it. The employee said it was cooking, but we went the whole visit watching them refill everything, but the catfish.
