Super cool eatery with amazing food. If you visit Nelson and fancy delicious and creative food … do not miss this place. Very flexible even though we got muddled up with our booking!! They consider variations and serve your needs. 🙌 The bigger your party is I would recommend to share the dishes as portions are generous considering the high quality. Delicious dinner and very accommodating to dietary requirements. Four of us ate a complete meal, and everything was a hit - no duds at all. I usually take pictures before I eat, but this one slipped my mind because it was so tasty. Best meal in Nelson. A great place for dinner. The staff were welcoming friendly and knowledgeable. There was a superb selection of Craft beers and a delicious wine list. The menu was fascinating and deserves a repeat visit. This is a 'Sharing Plate' restaurant my wife and I shared 3 plates and a dessert, we did not leave hungry! The star of the evening was the Wagyu Beef salad the perfectly cooked slices of beef contrasting wonderfully with the spiced chickpea crisps. I sat at the kitchen, and watching the chefs work was art in and of itself. I ordered the steak salad and oysters, which to put lightly, evoked feelings of joy I have not had from any other meal in New Zealand. All the chefs were incredibly friendly and made the atmosphere top notch. The house made hot sauces are not on the menu but are to die for - I was sweating in all the right ways. Disappointing meal and experience. We couldn’t get a booking until 8:30. Tried calling from 6 PM on to see if they could get us in earlier but no one answered and online still not available. We arrived about 8:15 to find plenty of empty tables! As to food - pot stickers and karaage squid were very average. The Peking Duck came with the usual accompaniments but instead of boned and sliced as usual it came as a full half duck! This made it very difficult and messy to eat. The pancakes were too thin and the hoisin sauce wasn’t great. But the duck was tasty with great crispy skin. And the staff were all really friendly, great service. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Great place for tapas with a twist to Asian cuisine! We ordered the oysters (nice and fresh), Teriyaki salmon fins, beef tartare (this dish is refreshing) and the hot & sour eggplant! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–60

Both food and service were excellent. Every single dish was great. Don't commit the same mistake as us by ordering duplicates of dishes. One plate is enough for 4 people to have a bite. The only downside was that it was a bit loud but that's the price of the place being packed. I stumbled upon this place while travelling solo, and wow, did it blow my mind. The food was fresh and so deliciously flavourful, the place was absolutely bustling and the staff were super friendly and happy and provided great service all round.
