Was thrilled to finally stop here for dinner and it was worth the wait. The history of the place is what first attracted me to Revere. President James Buchanan once owned this property, and Stephen Foster's sister was an owner before Buchanan. The interior is very nice and celebrates its colonial roots as one of many inns and taverns that was on a well-travelled route in the early years of our country. The owner even took us for a short tour since we were very interested to see and learn more. As for the food! Fantastic! I had their signature Prime Rib, which was cooked to perfection along with crispy fries. My son had the NY Strip and crabcake! My brother had the Fillet Oscar. Also good was the onion soup. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. Nothing but compliments!
I had the Prime Rib and my wife had the Crab Cakes. Overall the experience was good. Staff was attentive and food decent. If I came back I would probably try to sit at the bar and try one of their burgers or sandwiches.
Delicious food! The mozzarella wheels have a very unique flavor, and the caramel apple sangria was AMAZING and tasted exactly like a caramel apple!! Staff were very friendly and made sure we didn't run out of water or anything while we were here.

I don't even know where to start! We had our wedding reception at the Revere in March '17. The photos on their Wedding Wire do not do this place justice at all!! Please do not pass based on photos. The room has two great stone fireplaces, which we had lit during cocktail hour. It made for a very warm and romantic setting.
There is so much including in their pricing, it would be foolish for anyone to pass up! Their chef was amazing, he made a custom charcuterie board for me. Our group are big foodies. The rest of the meal was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and delivered hot. It is also located next to a Best Western hotel, which is super convenient, most of our guests were from out of town.
Last, but not least, Kim (the wedding coordinator) was wonderful to work with! I had so many crazy ideas and requests. She helped keep me sane and always guided me in the right direction. I could not have done it without her!
Been coming to Lancaster for years, this was our first time here... I had 6oz filet and Crab cake. One word, delicious! My wife on the other hand had chicken breast with almonds. Two words, tough & grisly. We both had baked potatoes and cauliflower which was good... Overall, nice atmosphere & good service.
I'd love to go back, my wife not so much.
Excellent food and service with an amazing atmosphere. Ask to be seated by a fireplace if there are any of such tables available. Went for Valentine's Day which can be a nightmare for some restaurants. Not the case here. Everything was perfect. The prime rib was the best I've ever had. Drinks prices are more than fair.
First the POSITIVES which there were many - the service, the soup, the salad all excellent. The building and dining experience - warm and charming. The unforunate ding was in my 27.00 main course. I do NOT recommend the prime rib. It had a lifeless color and no flavor. Though appeared to be medium rare as requested, it lacked the vibrant pink color that makes it attractive. It had tons of fat, which I suppose goes with prime rib, but I was left very unsatisfied and I don't recommend it.
So, we're driving through Lancaster on our way home and we're hungry so we start Googling places to eat. As it turns out, its Sunday, so a LOT of restaurants are closed in the area. We pull over to decide what places looked decent and weren't too expensive. The Revere Tavern came up and just by the description we decided to give it a try. We were blown away. The atmosphere was like dining in an old colonial tavern (no, I'm not THAT old), but it's what you would imagine. That was just the beginning though. We ordered the Seafood for 2 Special. It came with a choice of appetizer, so we got the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. Awesome flavor! Next came a salad the was big enough that we started to feel full already. We both got Blue Cheese Dressing which was the Best either of us have ever tasted. Like I said, we could have stopped there, but no. Next came the Entrees. Both came with Filet Mignons; Delightful! Cooked perfectly medium rare. I selected Crab Cakes for the seafood part, and my wife got Scallops. OMG! Both were Heavenly and also cooked Perfectly. I also picked Mashed Potatoes as my side dish and my wife got the Baked Potato. My Mashed were creamy and buttery, just like Mom used to make. Oh, and both our Entrees came with grilled Cauliflower and Beets. Now, I've hated Cauliflower since I was a little kid, but everything looked and tasted so good I figured I'd try some. Again, Blown Away! My wife was shocked. I was shocked! They were SO good. This was one of the best meals we've had in quite some time! We were so full, we brought a lot home. We just couldn't finish it all. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that we didn't have room for dessert. If I could rate this place a 10 I would.
This is my favorite restaurant of all times. Went for my birthday got the filet Oscar it was amazing. The wait staff is very friendly.

The building is wonderful, well maintained and clean. Love the history of it. We did not have a reservation but were able to sit immediately at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and there are obvious regulars for the bar based upon the conversations around us.
Our server/bartender was a bit slow and didn’t seem to notice when we were sitting waiting for her to take out orders or to take about payment for the meal. It wasn’t busy when we arrived but it did get busy as during Our meal.
Hubby & I had the special, prime rib sandwich. Our son had a burger. Both sandwiches were done as expected. But I know my sandwich was a bit bland. The fries were outstanding! We have dessert which looked great but the flavor didn’t match the appearance. It was just so-so Apple cobbler.
Overall,
