Such a cool/fun, little bookstore, which is open later than most bars in Traverse City!!! 🤣 It has great espresso/coffee and the staff is delightfully, knowledgeable, fun and entertaining. The book selection is vast and extremely well organized, along with being kept in excellent condition.

I popped in here as my husband had difficulty locating a book online and in person. I tried Horizon Books, and they had it in stock! What a delightful bookstore! They have a great selection of books, and the customer service was fantastic! Move over, BAM, Horizon Books just took the #1 spot!

Consistent, wide selection. I was able to find a title that another smaller bookstore did not have on the shelf. Long hours make for convenient, no-rush browsing after the workday. Membership program is easily worth it. Warning: you may be enticed by all the other goodies on display and leave with more stuff than you intended.

What a treat to find such a superb book store while ambling about popular East Front Street in downtown Traverse City, Michigan. An excellent selection as well as a copious selection of titles of local interest. Plus, a cute cafe! Always nice to give business to a coffee shop that isn’t a Starbucks! As an avid reader of nonfiction, I found shelves full of history, biographies, and memoirs. In this day of social media twaddle, great to have a thriving book shop in a tourism destination in northern Michigan

Great book store! They have an amazing kids/young readers section, and some more uncommon titles in general, which is quite fun. Nice atmosphere with classical music in the background.

Horizon books has been around for a long time and hopefully they will continue to be around for a long time so that everyone can have a chance to visit and pick out a book 📖 they have a section for everyone, books and lots of other things!!! Horizon books has so much to offer I definitely recommend checking this place out next time your on front street 🤠

The Horizon Books store is one of those places you wish you would have found earlier. Huge selection of titles. Massive amounts of magazines. Great food. Excellent coffee, fresh and lots of flavor. Lots of seating. You can sit in the cafe, downstairs, or outside. If you like people watching, outside is the way to go. The staff is warm and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. You can be come a member for more savings.
