Tried the tom yum soup here, and it definitely has its own twist. The pleasant sourness was complemented by an unexpected sweetness, which I suspect comes from added sugar – not my favorite addition. The base includes cabbage, lemongrass, onions, and cilantro, with various add-ons available. I opted for shrimps and spice level 5 (it's fine if you're used to spicy sauces), which gave it a nice kick. Even though the portion looks small, it's sufficient for one; just pair it with a box of rice. Unique flavors, but I'd prefer it a tad less sweet.

Casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and quick service characterize Hungry Boy Thai Cafe. The menu offers typical comfort Thai dishes, from pad Thai to various rice options. I opted for the spice level 5 in the drunken noodles, which delivered a good kick, though I had to amp it up with extra Thai chilis and a dash of Sriracha to satisfy my higher spice tolerance. If I find myself in the area, Hungry Boy is a convenient choice when spending time in the plaza.

We go here often. It's a nice clean place, with plenty of seats, and great food. The Pad Thai is so good, it's all I order!

I've added an updated menu since prices have gone up a little. Really great casual Thai place and the flavors and textures of the food are on point! I got the chicken satay bowl with veggies instead of rice. The veg was steamed perfectly....not too crunchy and not too soft. The chicken is satay was tender and had great seasoning. They give a big side of peanut sauce as well and this place has one of the better tasting satays I've ever had (it's my favorite thing to get from Thai restaurants, so I've had a lot). Nice big bowl of Tom Kha chicken soup rounded out my meal. Portion and pricing is nice and fair. Best of all, the food tastes really good. A lot of people came for take out so it seems quite popular!
First off, I really hate leaving a less than satisfactory reviews😒 but I owe it to the public to be honest. We happened to be in the shopping center, and decided to give this place a chance. The staff seemed nice and friendly, but the food👎🏽. We tried not to judge the place too much as they served the food on what seemed like Costco bought paper plates. I got the pad see ew and egg rolls. The noodles did not pass the smell test, they were very soggy and did not taste good at all. The egg rolls, unfortunately did not taste any better. They looked store bought, and the veggies inside were very mushy and had a overwhelming smell of garlic powder. Again I'm not trying to trash this place, but wanted to provide feedback for the business, so they can improve.

Delicious food and at great prices. Recommended.
We got the Tom Yum, Steamed Chicken Rice, and Pad See Ew. Order upfront and then sit anywhere to eat. Self service bar for sauce and to-go boxes makes it efficient without having to wait.
The lady running the front was extremely nice and courteous as well. Plenty of parking in the strip mall. A hole in the wall gem with great food at reasonable prices.

Thai Food
The last couple times I've been there, tables were dirty, orders were slow. Even though it was slow.
Employees were hanging around in the kitchen.
The bathrooms haven't been cleaned well either.
I hope things turn around. It had been my go to lace for good Thai food.

Chicken Satay over Rice
Summary: Mediocre food (somewhat lack of Thai flavor), affordable price, cozy interior, friendly staff, fast service.
I decided to visit Hungry Boy Thai Cafe due to my craving for Thai cuisine, since I was in the area. Upon entering, there were menus on the shelf to grab and seats for waiting. After reviewing the menu and knowing what I wanted, I proceeded to the cashier station to place my order. My order consisted of a Tom Yum with tofu, pad see ew with beef, chicken satay, and brown rice paired with Thai basil chicken.
The Tom Yum was quite different from other places. It featured unexpected additions like cabbage and tomato alongside the requested tofu. The flavor profile was intriguingly sour, spicy, and very heavy, in contrast to my expectation of lightness.
However, the pad see ew left me somewhat underwhelmed, as it seemed to lack the distinctive Thai essence I was hoping for. I couldn't help but wonder if it was prepared without a wok, as the characteristic wok-infused flavor appeared to be missing.
The chicken satay and Thai basil chicken are the only highlights of my meal -- after being letdown by the two previous dishes. Their flavors are well balanced, and paired nicely with the rice.
I would say their price is very affordable. No additional fees for using card, which is a huge plus for me.

This is a no frills very basic Thai restaurant. They tried to make their menu have a step by step approach to ordering which was honestly confusing at first if you're used to going through the large and varied offerings of traditional Thai restaurants searching for familiar names like Panang curry, pineapple fried rice, etc, but once you crack their system you'll decipher how to order a very basic and simple pad thai, fried rice or soup. Choices are very limited, but the food is decent and edible. Food is served on paper plates, and you use plastic disposable utensils. I saw this place receive high ratings out of Thai restaurants and figured I'd give it a try. Now that I've tried it I'll go back to one of the other thai restaurants in the area and probably pass on returning here.
