I ate here because someone who lives here recommended it. It’s a new spot but seems to be already standing out. Jose was my server, and he was very attentive from helping recommend items from the menu (while helping me practice my Spanish) to checking in throughout my dining experience to make sure everything was satisfactory. I am a vegetarian and ended up getting the mix salad and the tagliatelle with pesto and it was amazing! Highly recommend if you want pasta or pizza in an environment that is a vibe! Delicious pizza and cocktails. Very friendly and polite waiters. We were there for dinner and were able to get a table without reservation. The service was fantastic and food was quickly at our table. Also the appetizers were delicious and came right on time with the first drinks. It’s a beautiful and cozy place and the waiters were nice. The drinks were not so nice though. The first mojito in Mexico that I did not enjoy and the other drinks were too strong and bitter as well. We got carpaccio and mussels for appetizer which was okay. Some mussels wasn’t open, making it seem rushed and like the cooks does not check the plates they send out. For the main course we got pizza, and the two types of ravioli. The pizza was boring and unoriginal. The meat ravioli was really dense and way too dry, but the taste was good. Il Bacaro is a really unique spot. In the midst of a somewhat messy road in Tulum— you find yourself in a beautiful jungle-like spot. Jose was our server. He did a fantastic job at showing us our options and making the right suggestions for our palette. I’d recommend this place to anybody visiting Tulum and have no doubt it won’t disappoint. They have exquisite Italian food & a fantastic service that’ll make you feel right at home. I love coming here! At first I walked away because I asked if they have vegan options but then I came back to look at then menu and they have a veggie pizza so I just asked for it without cheese 🥰 it was sooooo yummyyyyy!
