First time here. I'm in the area for work and I was wanting to try some different types of local cuisine. Found this near me. Came in around noon, very little wait. I ordered the jerk chicken with red beans and rice and I barely waited 2 minutes when they were handing me my food. Relaxed atmosphere, with reggae type music playing in background. The food was so fresh it was hot and steaming. Delicious. A colorful bed of red beans and rice with plump, tasty pieces of chicken and potatoes on top. This place is a must visit.! The food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back. I ordered beef ribs with beans, rice and corn bread. My sauce was supposed to be sweet but it was spicy. I do like spicy food. Cornbread portion was very generous. Overall portion size was decent. 4 Stars because I felt the customer service and overall experience could've been better for an "Island" style restaurant. Sweet baby Jesus this place knows how to make that kinda food that you then judge every other restaurant to them because yes it is that good!!!!! BBUUTTTT for me and a coworker to eat it was $67 and but we did order some of the more expensive dishes. I ordered the beef short ribs and rice for 17.99$ to go, instead they served me beef brisket as if I wouldn't t know the difference between the two, unbelievable, brisket is a cheaper price than the short ribs, I feel like they scammed me and I will not be going back. Customer service was good. Food did not take long to prepare. Taste was good, got the brisket over beans and rice. Mac and cheese wasn’t my favorite. Will be back to try the chicken.
