We usually love this restaurant. It has great food and we have never been disappointed. That is until yesterday. My husband and I took my daughter and her family to lunch. There were 7 of us; four adults and 3 children. The sever took our order promptly. The food came out and they had forgotten my husband's order, even though she repeated the order to him. Next, I ordered enchiladas and what I was served was ground beef rolled in wet corn tortilla with no sauce. I had asked for chicken. I couldn't even eat it as it was so mushy. The waitress never came and asked if we needed anything else or even if we wanted a refill. Finally, the manager came out with my husband's food after everyone else was almost done. He was angry and just took his food to go and we asked for our bill. Normally, we are good tippers since we know how hard servers work and if serve is bad, we only tip at 5%. Because there were 7 of us, we were charged 18% gratuity. She absolutely did not earn that tip. All in all, we were very disappointed in the overall quality of food and service. We travel the country full-time and love exploring local restaurants, especially mexican. We always try the house margarita and chips and salsa to get that first impression. Great starters! We love chorizo so did the choriqueso and that was yummy as well. The killer, though, was the Hawaiian fajitas. As soon as we saw that on the menu, we knew. It was fantastic! Stopping here was the happiest accident. As Europeans on a roadtrip in the US, this was the first and almost only place we've eaten that not only didn't taste bland, but blew our socks off. Still dreaming about the food I've gotten here, months later! You get a whole lot of food for your buck. The bright, colorful interior of the place is just the cherry on top. 15/10 recommend!
