This place is a complete vibe. It is rich with culture, authentic music, and really good food. It's not big in size, it's a cozy experience that packs a mighty punch when it comes to food and drinks. The service was top notch and timely. The chips and salsa flow freely. Something a little different from other restaurants is that the salsa is served really warm. I had the cheese enchiladas and the gravy on them was EVERYTHING . I ordered one beef enchilada,as a add on. I have to admit that it didn't quite stand up to the cheese ones. A Google review led us here for dinner. From out of state and the food and service was great. Homemade margaritas. Yum. Our food came quick and was hot and fresh. Thanks for dinner. Great Mexican food with amazing service! The tacos vaqueros were perfect with the sauce and corn. Beans and rice was on point. The guiso was soo delicious and tender. We were a party of 20, and we were served pretty quick ‼️ and they were busy. Our waitress was excellent ‼️ I wish I could remember her name, the food is Great there and the way it's presented on the plate is awesome ‼️our drinks (diet Pepsi) were always filled when our glasses were a little under half way. Great food and great staff. Fast service. Bernie is a way cool guy who runs the ship with his father and family. This place has lots of local history. Open since March 2017 and going strong yet. Full bar area as well. Said to have best margaritas in town. Nacho plates looked amazing we saw coming out. My fajitas had a killer good seasoning on them. Beans and rice also done just right. My first visit was the week of(9/23/22) for lunch. We thought their food was great. The place was packed and our waitress was busy managing too many tables. So it wasn't easy to get her attention for refills or more chips. She actually did a good job for the number of tables she served. I do plan visiting Jalapenos again. Their food has a different flavor than other restaurants in San Angelo, I enjoyed that.

We had family visit from out of town. Tamale festival was the reason they were in town so after experiencing downtown we went to Antique shops we decided to get a bite to eat before they headed back home to Brownwood. I suggested this establishment vs what they wanted it was closer to the area at the time. My cousins wife rt off the bat stated that the inside was nice and inviting, the cold beer and food they really enjoyed.
