Wait what! Can I have bread toasted or grilled. I would but owner doesn’t allow it? Stupid rule! Firehouse is right across the street. I have had Jersey Mike’s even in the airport will toast the bread on the grill! Donald, at Your University Blvd. Location is terrific. He is always enthusiastic and the employees around him are upbeat and engaged. It is refreshing in this day and age to see the outstanding customer service everytime we go in there. Businesses are trying to find people like Donald and the employees he leads. No one greeted us when we walked in. There were 2 people ahead of us but the line moved very slow. Took 15 minutes from ordering to completion of our food. The girl topping the sandwiches had the personality of a limp noodle. Normally the sandwich I order has whole pieces of bacon on it. This time, it was bacon pieces. When I commented on the bacon pieces, the girl just rolled her eyes. There are much better Jersey Mike's locations in the area. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further and skip this location. Not the biggest fan of Jersey Mike's nothing against this location at all.. Everything went as could be expected and came out exactly as I ordered. Staff was friendly and professional in appearances. Drink station was clean and well stocked. Atmosphere lacks any depth (it's a fast food sub place) but was clean and tidy. If you like this chain this is a great location!!! The Manager, Donald, at the N Charleston, University Blvd location has the best team and offers the best customer service! Donald always has a infectious positive attitude with a smile! Have come to this location once a week for over a decade. It has seen just two changes in management since it opened shop, and though it's had so many staffs through the years, it is the most consistent location in Charleston. It is 99% of the time sparkling clean, they are always so very pleasant, and it is by far the quickest location in the area too.
