Ordered custom cupcakes a week ago from the bakery. Nothing crazy just asked for blue and orange frosting for a birthday party. My staff picked up the cupcakes and it's clear they used already made cupcakes and pulled off green icing to put the colors we asked for. Not only this, but when I called to place this order no one gave me any pricing info. I called today to figure out payment and was transferred around 4 times, and only the last two staff I spoke to were nice. I wish I had gotten the name of the second lady to answer the call when I was transferred to the bakery again because she was great.
It’s a great place to get food, staff and the managers are very helpful but they have the WORST customers. Like I thought a place like Plainfield would have better manner people but nope. You go here prepare to see some Karen and their husband yelling at the staff and whoever is near by. They even try and drag other people into those arguments.
We ordered the LG Turkey dinner & Ham dinner for our Thanksgiving meal for 10. Upon arrival to pick up this meal, we learned jewel deli gave our order away to someone else W/out Verifying order. Left us with no meal & no solution. Thank goodness for Berkots able to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for us last minute. This experience was horrible. Plainfield store.
Went to the deli counter today and received terrible customer service. Instead of employee asking “how can I help you” she said to me “what do you want”. Very terrible customer service! I hope this is not how Jewel trains their employees to greet customers.
Freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious 😋 when in stock. Definitely a favorite item I can't live without, unless there in none on the shelves. Which happens rarely, but occasionally, like this evening.

The store practices deceptive practices when price signs dont match the checkout price. After you find the problem, you have to goto customer service and they give you the difference, not the guarantee that use to be or what the not so intelligent manager said.

The water section is always a disaster here. Either the Ice Mountain water cases are stained with black residue or half of the cases are soaked with water like they were earlier today.
This has been my go-to grocery store especially now they have rewards and coupons on the app! However, I was sold bad fish twice this week! I ran in really late on Monday right before closing to rustle up so quick dinner because my whole house has been sick, I grab the pre-cut/fresh salmon because the counter was closed. I cooked it, as I took one bite and I had to spit it out immediately and throw it away. I went back the next day to tell them about it, so the woman at customer service asked if I wanted a replacement, I said sure that will work! So I went to the counter and saw tons of new freshly cut spoiled fish. You could smell that all of the fish was bad, so I pointed out to the guy at the counter the indications of when fish has gone bad and showed him several packages like that. I saw one package that didn’t have those physical indications so I was hoping that one was good. NOPE! I cooked it and took a bite of the corner and I have to throw it out again. Actually I think I’m going to bring the cooked fish there to show them. Anyway, I left out one thing. I told the guy upfront at customer service that there is a lot of bad fish that is being sold and he quickly told me that it wasn’t his problem, it’s there problem. How can you not care about what the store is selling no matter which department it is? That’s very poor service for such a reputable store. If this location doesn’t fix this, I can see the health department coming about the meat department. They need training on how to identify bad raw foods.
Stopped at Jewel for a few things, it is very easy to spend $100 here. The fresh Italian bread and bakery section smelled so good and of course I found a few other things on sale. I always trust the meat department at this location. Great place to buy fresh chicken

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY OR PICK UP FROM THIS STORE. They're poorly trained on substitutions, often send rotten food, and will omit an item from your order to make additional money rather than fulfill your coupons. Worst grocery store I've ever dealt with.
