After enjoying Tuscaloosa Federal Building and U. S. Courthouse, go to this bbq that is not far away. Taste good beef, beef brisket and mac-n-cheese. Try tasty muffins, biscuits and banana dessert. Drink the delicious draft beer, craft beer or bourbon served here. Ordering the great lemonade is a good choice. Jim 'n Nick's offers food delivery for the convenience of its clients. The success of this place would be impossible without the attentive staff. Spectacular service is something visitors like here. Prices at this spot deserve attention because they're attractive. You will definitely appreciate the charming atmosphere and lovely decor. This bbq is rated on Google 4.4 by its guests.

Great atmosphere, sat in a booth next to the bar and felt like a regular. Went in by myself and left after eating a great sliced brisket plate, a couple cold beers and making some new friends. The meal was incredible. They give you a big portion and heaping sides. The collards were great along with the slaw which was a perfect complement to my brisket. Been to several Jim and Nicks and this was one of the best! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

The brisket sandwich was amazing. Our waitress was also amazing. My wife's chocolate pie was the best she said. I had the banana pudding, and it tasted freezer burnt. But I will try it again to see if it was just a one-time issue. But all and all great food. O ya the muffins are over the top good Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Corn Bread

First time at this restaurant. Very impressed with the food and service. We had a group of 21 and once everyone got there getting the food was amazingly fast. I had chicken tenders with onion rings and fries. Loved the light and crispy breading. Hubby had the lean brisket plate with turnip greens and onion rings. I think they served him the marbled brisket instead of lean but he said it was good. A bus pulled up from the team playing in the championship and filled up the restaurant. They must have called ahead because their tables were set up and drinks on the table. They were served quickly and efficiently. So food is great and they can handle a crowd. Unusual for.a chain restaurant. Felt more like a family place. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cheese Muffins

I got the combo plate with bbq chicken and the beef brisket. The meats were good, however the meat was cold by the time I got to eating it. Also, I requested the beef lean and most of the beef I had was marbled as pictured. Kind of disappointing as the meal was $30 down the drain for about a cup of chicken and a cup of marbled brisket. I also bought the half dozen biscuits and didn’t receive it with my order. My sweet tea drink was more ice than it was the drink. My baked potato had no bacon and no scallions. Overall, I’m quite disappointed as I’ve been here before and the experience was good, but I don’t think I’ll be coming here again if this is the quality I get for spending 42 dollars. We did not have to wait for a table on a Sunday evening which was nice because the other places we tried had a 45 min wait. My husband said “this is a lot better than the last time I ate here” and we REALLY enjoyed it. They gave us delicious cheesy soft rolls before our food came out with sweet butter. Our food came out about 10 min after we ordered it and it was all flavorful. Each of the flavors complimented each other. The onion rings were battered just right so the onion did not fall out when eating it. We will be back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
I love Jim & Nick’s but it’s frustrating that they close so early in a college town. The times on the website and door need to be changed to reflect their hours. That being said, we still love to eat here. Their cheese biscuits are to die for. Their BBQ is also good. I like the bbq pork salad or potato. My daughter usually gets their chicken tenders and her fiancé ALWAYS gets their Mac n Cheese with a side of bbq pork. Then he mixes them together. He says a waitress told him how good that is and he wholeheartedly agrees. Maybe one day I’ll try it. Their desserts are also good. My daughter loves their banana pudding and I really like the lemon pie. Be sure to get an order of cheese biscuits to go. They will be great the next morning with coffee. Cut them in half and toast them up. SO GOOD! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cheese Biscuit Mix

Worst ever experience. Eaten here for years and decided to do a delivery. Made order directly through the website and submitted payment. Guess what? Never got order. Was called and told order had been picked up but never delivered to me. So when asking for refund they told me it wasn’t there issue I would have to go through the delivery company, Door Dash. I’ll be sure to leave them a note as well. 72 hrs later still no refund. $67.00 dollar order and no can tell me how to get my money back. I even went as far to drive down, place another order that they had prepared for my replacement and used a different method of payment so I could ensure I got my refund. The Young lady at the To-Go station was helpful. But won’t deal with this again, and I’ll make sure my family, workplace, and friends doesn’t either. Ridiculous! Tonight's experience was not one that we normally have at this location. To be completely transparent it was about 45min before closing. To start off, we had to wait a while to order. Then, our waitress told my daughter that they were out of burgers. She's pretty picky but was able to get chicken strips and fries instead (yeah, she's pretty basic) When they brought our food, my wife received fresh fruit instead of the Mac-N-cheese she had ordered. She asked the server about it and they replied "I guess we're out of that too". I ordered the Carolina-pork plate with collard greens and coleslaw. Mine was delicious all the way around. Not a single complaint on my end. Water was even fresh and crisp. We had to wait quite a while, and ask a couple of times, for some bread. Then, while my youngest daughter was eating her fruit, she said, "daddy, this grape looks like someone has already eaten it". It was completely obvious that someone had bitten her grape in half. It was a grape towards the bottom of her bowl, so we didn't see it until she ate most of the other fruit. And yes, I'm 100% sure my daughter didn't eat it. I brought it up to the manager and tried to make sure he understood that I wasn't asking for anything to be free or even reduced. I was just bringing it to his attention that someone had eaten off of food going out to the customers. (I will say, these were by far the biggest green grapes I've ever seen in my life. Almost as big as plums) Another party at our table also stated that he saw the employee that was cleaning the tables off, eating food from people's plates. I don't know the person and I'm not judging them at all, but if that was the case, I'd recommend doing it where nobody can see you, at the very least. There was also a table behind us that was complaining heavily about the fact that they were out of the sides they wanted also. They were being overly harsh in my opinion. The lady complaining kept going on and on about it and wouldn't get past it. So much so, it sounds like the manager comped their whole meal, minus the alcohol. The manager ended up comping our daughter's meal because of the bitten grape but I didn't really think that was required, nor asked for, but appreciated. Overall, a less than perfect experience. We will come back to eat here in the near future. We really like the food. This wasn't the best experience, but it wasn't terrible either. I really enjoyed this place. This is the second stop on my BBQ tour of Tuscaloosa. We started with the little muffins and a small order of onion rings. Both were very good. I ordered the 3 meat plate with Chicken breast, Ribs and Brisket. The brisket was really good had a nice smoke ring and the rub had really good flavor. Definitely was impressed with that especially for not being in Kansas City. The ribs were really good as well, a little fatty but good. Loved the flavor of the sauce and the smoke flavor. The chicken had excellent flavor. The only thing I am not a fan of is pulled chicken. Because I also want to taste the skin for the rub. But I enjoyed it and the Alabama white sauce was really good as well. My sides were baked beans and the BBQ corn. The baker beans were the best I have had on my trip here in Alabama and my trip last week in GA. The corn was spectacular as well, I love how it is rolled in the white sauce. Next time I am in Tuscaloosa I will be back. Great Job Jim ‘N Nick’s and great job to Tracy our waitress she was awesome.
