Food was excellent, had the Chicken Scallopine combo, and the Rosemary Chicken entree. Our server was very attentive, and was thanked by the Hostess as we left. The place is open so noise level echoes. Really glad we stopped by, been years since we had been there. Will go back! This place was good. We were at the bar area and they had some great specials. The margaritas were great and quick. The food took a minute but came out nice. My wife had salmon and said it was good. The food and service were great. Plenty of food and we even had leftovers. You gotta try the Italian nachos! Will definitely be back. The odd thing is the floor is concrete. Not stained, painted or stamped, just concrete. Kinda takes away from any Italian atmosphere. (No MAFIA concrete shoe jokes) Also there is a strange odor in the restaurant and it was not food. I think there is a floor drain issue that needs to be taken care of. I don't even know where to start really. I know it was busy due to Mother's Day but they were severely short staffed. The place was dirty...smelled dirty. Brie was our server and was actually pretty good but she was running the bar servicing a large number of tables and bussing tables. She deserves a raise. I ordered the cheese tortellini and honestly was worse than a TV dinner from frozen food section in grocery store. Was a child sized portion served cold and pasta under cooked and then was over $18. I will never eat at this place again. Such ashame because it has big potential. Seems to need better management. We where passing through town and decided to stop for lunch. We where not disappointed! Our server Emily was spot on with her service. The pizza and nachos We had tasted so good. Definitely recommend this location. Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The quality of food was unfortunately abhorrent. I ordered the lobster ravioli and not only was it basically a soup, but all you could taste was lemon with little to no additional flavor with it, and there was significantly less pasta than my 7 year old had in his Mac n Cheese (Which was pretty good). I had 7 raviolis. The steak was flavorless, only oven baked, and someone had cut it in half already and only served half of the steak to my wife. We walked into the restaurant and it was completely empty, with a very depressing and eery atmosphere and the service itself wasn't great. Our waitress, the very few times she interacted with us, seemed sweet but she also gave off the feeling that she was embarrassed or disinterested in helping us. As soon as we walked in, we didn't see a single person. Not even an employee and when she began to interact with us it felt like she either did not want to be there or seemed embarrassed of the atmosphere. The cook washed his hands one time, and used no gloves at all. He cross contaminated the food as well. I have spent nearly two decades between customer service and serving as both a server, cook, and a sous chef. This was a very disappointing experience. Johnny Carino's was one of our favorite restaurants until now. Unfortunately if this is the quality that this restaurant pushes out then they may need to look at shutting down in the near future. As soon as I walked in I asked the lovely hostess if she could seat a table of three, she immediately escorted me to a clean, spacious, well-lit booth, it took less than 10 minutes for the also lovely waitress to get our drinks ordered and a basket of fresh bread and dipping oil for the table. It again took less than 10 minutes in the visibly busy restaurant for the waitress to get our appetizers and ANOTHER short wait for our entrees and desserts. I had spaghetti with grilled chicken and artichokes, my Mom had the spicy chicken bow tie festival and I think my brother had the same. They both said they liked their food but my mom couldn’t finish hers because she has a low spice tolerance, I also couldn’t finish my food because there was just SO MUCH, but that’s definitely not the restaurants fault, fortunately, we still had room for dessert, my brother had the tiramisu and my Mom and I had the Lemon cream cake all of which was incredibly creamy and delicious, definitely the highlight of the night. Ordered ahead and still waited 10 minutes on my food. There were very few people dining in. They talk to you through the wall instead of waking around. The chicken tasted weird.
