DISGUSTING. DO NOT EAT HERE!
I ordered tilapia (escovitch) with rice &peas and Mac and cheese. Fish was fried not escovitch and had raw vegetables on top. By the time i sat down to eat the fish was a soggy mess. As you can see by the photos the fish was breaking apart as i tried to lift it. Mac was flavorless and had a strange color and the dry rice &peas were the best part of this meal.
I called to request a refund and was told send photos to a phone number that was provided and the manager is in a meeting but will call me in an hour. I sent the photos but the manager never called so i reached out again and was told the only was i can get a refund was to bring the food back (30 minutes from where i am) to their establishment to make sure i didn’t eat it (WHY WOULD I EAT THIS MESS?? It looks like jail food). I explained to them that wasn’t possible since i am at work and used my break to pick up the food. Of course they didn’t care and refused to make any exceptions so here i am writing this review while on the phone with my bank lol.

This is some of the best Caribbean food I've had in the states. The food is authentic, the jerk chicken was moist and spicy. The staff was incredibly friendly and sitting in the restaurant gave me 'vacation in the islands' vibes. I'd definitely go back to try more food like the oxtail and goat curry which looked phenomenal.

Oxtail Rice and Peas with Cabbage
The food was amazing! Our waiter had the whole restaurant saying happy birthday to my grandmother. He was out going and personable. Then we started wrapping up and asked for the bill that we had to wait a while for, then the waiter comes back to our table with a slice of rum cake for my grandmother and again had the whole restaurant singing happy birthday to my grandmother. The gesture was nice and we assumed the cake was on the house because we did not ask for it. Meanwhile still waiting for the bill, the waiter comes back with his palm pilot asking if we were ready to pay as he verbally tells us the bill is $200, still no paper bill of what exactly we're paying for. My brother pays the bill adding the tip and receives the bill after paying. So the cake was not on the house($8) and my brother ended up paying the tip TWICE. We understood the waiter was trying to do something nice so it should have been on the house especially if no one specifically asked for it and far as bill we shouldn’t have to ask several times for it, after one time of asking...it gives off suspicious vibes. We are all torn about going back because the food was AMAZING but the service at the end was iffy. I do recommend trying it, just make sure you get your bill🙂

Conch Fritters
We seated ourselves at the bar and the server came rather quickly to greet us, wipe down the area, and provide menus. I ordered a rum punch and the oxtail meal with cabbage and mac & cheese. Our food came out quick and hot. The rum punch was delicious. It's pre made and had a good amount of alcohol but it was not overwhelming.
The ox tails had a great flavor but needed to cook longer. It seemed that they came from two different batches. Some were tender while others were quite tough. The mac & cheese & cabbage was delicious. The mac was creamy and well seasoned. Cabbage was well seasoned and had a slight crunch which I like. They have a few televisions playing sports and reggae music playing. The vibe was nice and staff was pleasant. I would go back.

Even after 10years the food is still top-tier !!!! Wonderful customer service, excellent music, and very welcoming. If you’re ever on this side of Glen Burnie, this is a must stop place to eat.

Wonderful Jamaican restaurant. We had to seat ourselves, but our server came quickly and took our order. He offered ginger tea, which was not on the menu. He had them make fresh ginger tea with the ginger cut up. The food was extremely delicious. We all had fish. The portions were more than enough for 2 meals. However, the food took a long while to get there. There was reggae music playing loudly and because they never changed the specific type of reggae, it got annoying after a while and gave me a headache.

What a find, true authentic Jamaican food.
The serves are amazing, thoughtful and personable, he had plenty of good recommendationsready to go. Service was a tad slow when I was there but I think they were short handed as only one person was attending the dining room, bar and Togo area.
We had the wings (omg amazing), oxy tail, goat curry and the rum cake.
All of it was delightful.

Judy's Island Grill has amazing food. Everything on the menu is delicious. Don't expect fast food or service. This restaurant is a place to slow down and enjoy, have conversations, listen to music, and absorb the atmosphere. It does get busy, so be prepared to wait. If u are ordering carryout, order ahead of time. Be patient! Everyone is so friendly.

Excellent service! The server was tall, Jamincian man he was so funny. His service was superior and will return because we were treated so well. The atmosphere was excellent too, music playing with booth tables or regular tables to be seated you can also choose indoor or out door. Parking was great, too. We paid 84.00 for food, which included a tip for server we purchased 1 jerk dark chicken with sides of coconut rice and peas with cabbages, the jerk chicken was spicy and seem more like barbecue instead of jerk. We also had an oxtail with provisions, which consisted of 2 dumplings, 1 boil green banana, and 1 piece of yellow 🥔 with a side of coconut rice and peas also a side of coco bread. For drinks 1 red stripe and 1 rum punch. Provisions such as dumplings and yellow potatoes were too hard. dumplings could have boiled some more, but green bananas were great coco bread nice and hot great oxtails could have been softer. Overall, the taste was good. The rice was excellent. The flavor was good!
