Review of Kabul House restaurant in Chicago: Our visit to Kabul House restaurant in Chicago was a huge letdown. Traveling all the way from Toronto, Canada, we were excited to dine at an Afghan restaurant in Chicago. While the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and well-maintained, the quality of the food was extremely disappointing. The rice served with the kebabs appeared to be frozen and reheated, lacking freshness and flavor. The Mantu dish was also reheated, which was quite off-putting and not up to our expectations. Moreover, the sauces did not taste authentic Afghan, and the bread seemed to be store-bought and simply reheated at the restaurant, rather than being freshly prepared on-site. Sadly, our dining experience at Kabul House left us feeling unsatisfied and even unwell. I am currently feeling sick to my stomach, and I worry that other patrons may have a similar experience. Regrettably, based on the poor quality of the food and the negative impact it has had on my health, I cannot recommend Kabul House restaurant. It is unlikely that I will return, and I am considering giving them a negative rating. It is important for restaurants to prioritize the freshness and quality of their ingredients to ensure the well-being of their customers. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This place has amazingly delicious food. All food is halal. Service is great. It has plenty of seating. They offer espresso which was excellent and awesome desserts. Great place. The food tasted delicious- all of it. The only thing i might suggest, is the main course was not very warm, it was already pretty cold as it was served. I recommend the place. The food was so incredible and the decor in the restaurant was really beautiful. I have been wanting to eat here for years and I was not let down!! My favorite item I tried was the aushak. So glad I got to try this place. Food: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent as well! I strongly recommend ordering several different plates and sharing so everyone can try different foods, but the vegetarian dumplings really stood out, as well as the chicken kabob! I made dinner reservations for three for a Friday night, and I recommend you also make reservations if you plan on coming during a busy time! Absolutely worth it, will definitely be coming again!
