I came across this cafe actually from Google Maps, despite having 5 for rating and so few reviews. I thought I should give it a try and see if it is really worth eating in Ashgabat. The entrance is very small as its like one side is a kitchen and the other the cashier. Not sure if the downstairs is mostly for takeaway orders. Once you walk past the area and take the stairs up you will reach the upstairs dining area. I like the decor as the ceiling is painted with clouds and the surroundings filled with trees and greenery (fake plants). Had a look at the menu and there were quite a lot of offerings, which for a while I was so interested in the food and didn't know which to try. The staff recommended me to try the plov which is the toy palowy and I also ordered a salad and tea. I thought plov is sufficient but in Turkmenistan it seems weird not to have an appetizer like bread or salad to go along with the main. Anyway tried the palowy and have to say its one of the best I tried in Turkmenistan. Also, the plov in Turkmenistan is the type of my favourite served in Central Asia. I have tried in other Central Asian countries and no one cooks better plov than Turkmenistan! It was a good meal and price is super reasonable. Recommended to visit and try their palowy.
