There's a reason Ken's has been a Massachusetts institution for so many years now. An exceptional meal from start to finish, with seamless service. The food and the experience you have here leaves you feeling HAPPY!!!! Content. Yes, even fulfilled. An old classic standby that is worth the time and investment. Thsi is fine dining, NOT a neighborhood steak joint. Enjoy! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Seems outdated, had to check it out though. Old fashion and steak were a good birthday dinner but others in the party were disappointed in the other options. The pasta was lackluster and prices did not match the quality of food...sad likely won't be back Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

What a great spot for occasional dining! They have a more quiet area where it’s very comfortable to have a conversation and a bar area where they play life music. We’ve lived in the area for years, finally decided to try Ken’s last night. We came for Christmas Eve dinner, made a reservation for 5:15. Got there at 5:05 and were told to wait. At 5:30 we were told they overbooked and did not have our table. Finally they opened up the banquet hall and sat us out there alone. Ordered drinks and appetizers, took 30 minutes to get drinks and 45 for appetizers. Manager came over to check in and ask how things were and apologized for slow service. When we asked to put food in when we got drinks we were told it would the kitchen was backed up. Put in an order for four steaks, and food came around 7:15, over two hours after arriving. Waiter came to check on us once in that time. We were told the owners were having dinner there that night so everyone was busy with them. Steaks were all salty and lukewarm. Not offered dessert. Bill was almost $300 with no offer of discount or apology for bad service. It was Christmas Eve, but this was absolutely absurd, should have went to a place that would honor a reservation and have appropriate customer service. For the price i expected way more! It was my cgoice to not switch out the rice pilaf with my steak tips, but this was a very boring dinner. No sauce to compliment or veggie suggested to add to the nutritional value of my meal. Gordon Ramsy woukd have said it looked like dog food. The flavor was pretty good for the meat, but a poorly put together meal for $40. There was a generous sized salad with it but since it was served first it did nothing to make the main course visually appealing. Service was great. All the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Food was pretty good in the area and atmosphere was satisfactory. But when we were going to pay for our food, we put cash as tip money while our credit card pays the bill and the waiter charged us double the amount in tips by charging our card while taking the cash tip. The waiter didn’t even give us our card back and stuffed it in his checkbook. I’d be wary with the waiters here especially the male with the ponytail. I've gone on two separate occasions and ordered the same meal, one weekday, the other weekend and both had the same level of food quality and service. I was seated quickly, my server took my order and my food arrived promptly and was cooked according to my requested doneness (rare), the waitstaff checked in frequently to make sure that I was doing alright, but not to the point of annoyance. We ordered the king and queen cuts of prime rib, and then later, were wondering how the meat could be so tender. Of course, the salad dressing is original as well. Everything was prepared exactly as ordered. The seasoning was excellent as well. I was born and raised in Framingham. So I especially appreciate the long history of Ken's Steak House.
