I usually try to avoid places with English language menus, but this one’s a happy exception to that rule. The food is the same price as the night market it’s adjacent to, but much better food (esp if you’re a foreigner, they might make watered down versions of food for you at the market)

Very cheap Thai food. I can say the test is good. Very short menu, which is not always available. Service ok. There is not toilet 🥲.
And definitely it is not European style restaurant. Speak very limited language.

We tried a couple of different Khao Soi restaurants in the area, but they were all flat in flavor. The khao soi here is rich, creamy, and well seasoned. Other dishes were no less well-crated.
The service is friendly and warm, and English is okay as well.
On an alley behind the food court, the atmosphere is relaxed, and you can enjoy your meal without the zoo.
Definitely recommend, and will come back next time I'm in Chiang Rai.

Great food beside the touristic night market! Authentic Thai food, great Pad Seew, Fried basil leaves with rice and very good Pad Thai. Very delicious and good prices for beer. Even craft beer available from different Thai regions. Our best pick in Chiang Rai and you are sitting close to the stage to hear the live music from night market.

Came here on a Friday for dinner and the restaurant was fairly busy. Tried the stir fried basil with pork and a noodle dish with pork. We found both dishes to be too salty, and one of them was served only lukewarm. We found the price reasonable, and the gentleman who served us was very kind.
Note: outdoor seating only, cash only, no bathroom.

They happily replace the meat for tofu and mushrooms in some of their meals and the food tastes very good!
