Fantastic food! The kids had Phat Thai (amazing and not spicy), we had the Tamarind Sauce Beef (with extra fried garlic) and the Snapper with garlic and pepper. Plus the Morning Glory to share. Everything was so delicious and we’ll be back for sure. The restaurant looks far more authentic than most of the others in Khaolak, yet there’s also quite some tourists. It was a great experience! Last time 20 years ago. Found it again 😀. Still one of the very good Thai kitchen Restaurants without ChiChi. You get spicy if you ask without complain. We come back! Whole grilled fish was a little more cooked as BBQ. But good anyhow. The Lime Chili sauce was a tasty killer 😀😀😀😀😀 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We loved this place, went here at least once a day. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would do it. One of the restaurants with the best value for money we have had in our 2 months Thailand trip. Logically also the best place in Khao Lak (in our opinion of course). The staff is also so nice, they cooked the fish we catched on that day. A solid four stars given that the food we had was very fresh and tasty, coupled to the relative cheapness compared to restaurants on the main drag a short distance away. Yes it's a little gloomy atmosphere-wise but you can see it has a lovely family feel with the young son helping out too. Getting near a fan was better and a little bug spray may be needed. We had spring rolls and papaya salad starters with pineapple rice and black pepper chicken mains, sharing mango sticky rice for pud. With two large Singa beers the bill was 780TB (excluding our tip)...so we reckoned about two-thirds of what you'd pay for a similar meal on the main drag. Great authentic Thai food, very good value-for-money. As always in Thailand, the tastiest food can always be found in the most "plastic-chair, neon light" restaurants in the second or third row. We don't share the comments of many of those enthusiastic people who reviewed that place. We went there 3 times thinking maybe we were not lucky... We never felt really welcome. The food was not consistent, we asked for it to be not spicy, one time it was ok the next time it wasn't. Food was ok but service was a big disappointment. There is better, more friendly places. We went for a dinner to another restaurant, but it was closed that day so we ended up here. And I'm so happy about it! The food was delicious. Amazing fried garlic and pepper with pork (100+20 THB), so the very next day we came back to have this dish again. We also tried chicken massaman curry (100 THB) and fried pineapple / banana with honey (60 THB). Everything perfect.
