Group of 15 for my sisters birthday. Travelled from Whangarei to Paihia. $37.50 per adult and $2.50 per age for children. Staff were amazing and food was great. Only down fall was minimal oysters roughly 2 per adult. Otherwise a great place to eat with a variety of food. I'm from Auckland and have struggled to find descent chinese food, this has been the best i have come across so far. Very welcoming atmosphere eating here! Was so keen on the oysters which is what I came here for hearing from a mate who said it was unlimited. Unfortunately it was limited when we came. Still the food was replenished and each tasty and fresh. Would have been a good 5 but would like to see unlimited oysters back In the menu 🎉

My partner and I decided to treat ourselves to the buffet meal at King Wah last night. It proved to be special in every way starting with the plumptuous oysters and the enticing sushi which proved to be as good as the sushi we often enjoy at our favourite UK Japanese restaurant. The main buffet was so enticing that I tried most dishes making a bit of a pig of myself as my extended waistline proved on the way home. Through out the meal the service was outstanding! As each dish was dirtied it was whisked away to the kitchen by the staff who mostly wore a warm smile. We would both like to thank Newton and all the staff for making our meal so memorable and outstanding. Great food at a very good price! Where else can you find a buffet dinner for $37 a head these days? And one that includes a plate of giant, frest oysters in the price! Mains were delicious, especially the bbq pork, prawns & honey pork. Desserts were basic but good. Definitely visit this restaurant!

A must visit restaurant everytime I come to Paihia. I always receive warm and excellent services from ah Jing, Mei jie, and ah Wei at the express counter. They now have sushi too, tasty and cheap! I've came to this restaurant for so many times, it's great visit every time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Delicious food, great variety. Fresh seafood. Food is nice and hot. Range of Chinese and Japanese food, dumplings, sushi, etc. Excellent service, always cleaning away the plates when finished. Food was yummy and fresh, the dumplings were pretty skinny but yum very tasty. But it was hot inside fans weren't cutting it . Be could to have air conditioning and that will just top it. Overpriced and overcharged for BBQ pork rice due to what they claimed was a language on their part. Lack of customer service to correct. Paid over $21 more than should have. Bland chicken with lemon sauce and prawn dim sum. Loud children of staff that takes away from any ambiance. Place looked disorganized. Not a place that is recommended. Bad experience. Don't go. All you can eat, great friendly service and self service also. Desserts are delicious and simple. Mains are plentiful and varied. Dishes are refilled immediately. Fresh oysters in the shell are absolutely delicious. Totally love this place.
