My partner and I went to Koh Kaew almost every day for breakfast. Highly recommend. The seafood porridge is something that I will dream of always. All of the food that we had was delicious. We were staying at Rocky's and saw that Koh was rated really highly so walked down in the evening, what a great call it was! The restaurant was full when we got there so a server put 2 chairs out on the pavement and got us some beers while we waited, nice touch! Service was warm and friendly and the food was superb, big portion sizes and the food was so fresh and tasty, the beef jungle curry and chicken penang were banging and some of the best curries we had in our 2 week Thailand holiday in various places. All the food was reasonably priced and the service was great throughout with a lively vibe in the restaurant, really recommend it and wish we'd found it before our last night on Samui! Really authentic and nice homemade food. Portions are large and quite cheap. Great vegan options, food is not oily or very heavy. I loved the service too, and it’s open until 22.00.

I tried twice during my visit to Koh Samui, and it is located near the hotel where I stayed. Fried rice and porridge are nice, but I favourite dish was fried shrimp cake, very crispy. The food is pretty good there but the reason I gave a 3 star is because no all the price is clear so you have to check the price so you don't get overcharged what you ordered. The price is average around 200-300TBH per dish.
