A cute breakfast place with some need of improvement. We had a long breakfast here. The service was good but the food took forever. We ordered biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage biscuit and Corned beef hash. Food was decent and hearty- the biscuits could be fresher they seemed maybe a day old. I am giving 4 stars because the front of house staff were so kind and kept apologizing for the wait.

Hadn't been here since the name changed. We came for breakfast. The food was excellent...cooked to order, hot and came out within 10 minutes. Service was superb, friendly, attentive and quick. Will definitely be back

The food here was great. My wife and I had a 1/2lb burger with tater babies and onion rings. Her mother had a Ruben with sweet potato fries. The staff was polite and seemed to know everyone, so it's popular among locals. Food is a bit pricey but it's understandable being a small business.

My wife and I will not be back. A patty melt cooked medium (arrived well done) and overly greasy turkey sandwich really can't take 45 minutes to prepare. Server took our order and didn't bother to check on us in that entire time. My wife asked another server for tea refills which she promptly brought but, did not acknowledge the "thank you" from my wife. I asked for a small bowl to mix a dipping sauce of mustard, ketchup, and hot sauce. Server finally brought ketchup and hot sauce after about 10 minutes but no mustard or bowl. The food runner did provide me with to-go packets of mustard and seemed put out that I asked for mustard. We are both in the service industry and usually tip well. I wanted to leave $0.02 but my wife left $2.00. Would have been $10.00+ if service has been at least a little better. If I were the owner or manager, I would adjust the closer on the front door so it doesn't slam shut when it closes. A simple, serious apology for wait time or explanation would go a long way with most folks. We saw at least 4 people leave after entering and receiving no acknowledgement from staff. Manager needs to have a much needed staff meeting. Today was not our first time dining here but, will definitely be the last. Best wishes to you.

Love, love the food, I wish they could get help they so desperately need. We put in our order and everyone around us got their food but after waiting over a hour we decided to go🥲 the poor waitresses were doing the best they could. I can’t understand why they can’t keep help, it’s different waitresses every time we go in. Is it the management? If so they need to check why they can’t keep help and change it because I would hate to see a good restaurant close.

This is our favorite breakfast restaurant. The food is excellent and the selection is great. Everything we've had here has been great. Their biscuits are some of the best I've had anywhere and the brown gravy is an excellent companion to the biscuit. We've had lunch here a time or two and it is excellent as well. The servers are always pleasant and accommodating. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it.

We returned with our motorcycle friends - this time on our way home from the Woolly Worm Festival in Banner Elk. We had 9 people in our group this time and once again, the same great food, great service and really friendly people, too 😁 This time we got the whole Coconut Cream pie - to die for!!

I can't say enough how AMAZING this place is! We both agreed the grits were the best we've ever had (and my husband is from the south) and the omelette was light and fluffy with the perfect proportion of filling to eggs. It was Sunday so they had a turkey special and we ordered that to go for dinner. WOW! Beyond perfect, even reheated. The turkey had been roasted all night, the dressing was moist and savory, the sweet potato casserole stunning and paired well with the fried squash. It even came with a made-in-house dessert and we chose peach cobbler. Simply divine. We can't wait to go back and try other things and the daily specials!!! Really nice people and great service too. Don't hesitate to try this place.
