Once the promenade around the Dr. Josephus Hall House is over, visit La Cava. This restaurant serves Italian cuisine. Cooks at La Cava do their best to provide visitors with good prosciutto, lobster ravioli and fillet steaks. Order nicely cooked tiramisu, watermelon salads and cheesecakes. Beautifully done delicious birthday dinner in an elegant atmosphere! We had Escarole Salad, Lobster Ravioli, Eggplant Parmigiana, French Onion Soup, & Steak Au Pouive, Giovanni & Mona knocked it out of the park again! Simple clean delicious flavors pop in the mouth with each bite! This restaurant gave me a Fall River, MA vibe. Definitely old world feeling, makes me miss home. Waitresses were all very pleasant and attentive. The service was excellent, and food came out quick. Our drinks were good and strong. Our meals were delicious. It's fine dining folks, little food for alot of money, but the experience was worth it. They brought dessert out on a cart for us to pick. Let’s start at the end of meal the deserts are Amazing try the Chocolate tort. Table of 7 every meal was exceptional and so was the wine selection it is great and very reasonable. The service is wonderful professional and friendly. If you are in Salisbury you have to eat in La Cava it is stupendous. Overall, we had a great experience! The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice for a birthday dinner. The food is definitely pricey and mostly worth it. You don't get a lot of food, but what you do get is delicious. My husband's lobster ravioli was spot on, he just didn't get a lot of raviolis and my entree was pretty good. I don't remember exactly what I got and don't see it listed on the menus posted right now (we went Wednesday 11/8/23). We were both still a little hungry afterwards, but if we had done a full app, entree and dessert I think we would have been good. The only downside is that we went for my birthday and when my husband made the reservation and told them it was my birthday, he was told I would get a cake. But they never served it, it felt weird asking so we didn't push for it, which is on us and not them. Overall a good experience! Loved everything about this restaurant. The food was exceptional, the ambiance inviting and dessert was phenomenal! Service was slightly different. We had three different servers who covered the bar and dining room. Some were more attentive than others. I've not experienced this before while dining out. My husband took me here for Valentine's dinner. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic. Our service was outstanding, my husband had the ribeye and enjoyed it. I ordered the trout, and it was tasty. Unfortunately, it had bones in it. We ordered the tiramisu to take home, and it wasn't very good. Overall, it was a nice evening. We liked the atmosphere in this old renovated church. The staff is attentive and friendly. I had the fish special which I was told tasted like tuna. It tasted nothing like tuna. My wife ended up ordering a appetizer because she didn’t care for the short list off main meals on the menu. I watched two large dogs being walked into the restaurant. Also had someone set just outside of the door we were setting beside smoking a cigar. Every time the door was opened the smell and smoke would come in. We had a group of six and I can’t say anyone was real excited about their experience.
