Excellence. This is a family owned restaurant with amazing cuisine. We dined here on our last night in Zihuatanejo because of the romantic atmosphere. It’s right on the water and a great place to watch the sunset. We arrived and the chef gave us a beautiful amuse bouche to start. We invited another couple to join us and we all had different dishes and everyone really enjoyed their dinner. This restaurant is accessible by Playa Ropa beach so we walked along the beach and Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a great beachfront restaurant on La Ropa beach for a special occasion. The ambiance is great, the service attentive and friendly and the food is delicious. One thing I appreciated was that they have vegan alternatives for many of the dishes they offer. My wife and our 2 close friends ate here Jan 2024. It was one, if not the best restaurant experience and food ever. I had the catch of the day Red Snapper unbelievably good 👍OMG! WOW! The food and service is as good as the view at La Gaviota! Staff are friendly, attentive, and are easy to communicate with in both Spanish and English. The food and drinks arrive quickly, and staff are sure to check in that everything is in good order, and clean the table for what's necessary. The menu is very well done, with various options for starters, appetizers, mains and desserts. The facilities are clean and well maintained. And the views from almost any part of the restaurant will make every bite taste better. Highly recommended! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

We hosted our wedding welcome dinner at La Gaviota, and had an incredible experience. From the moment I reached out to inquire months ago, I received excellent service. Natalia was always quick to reply, went out of her way to share information with me, and customized the experience for our group. The night of the event, the staff was super friendly, attentive, and helpful all night long. The food was delicious, the views are incredible, and the margaritas were strong! Truly a highlight of our time in Zihuatanejo and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Whether it's a large group, date night, or solo spot to grab a bite, it's the perfect spot. Very modern restaurant in La Ropa. Food is mixed in American and Mexican styles. Our waitress was very polite and could perfectly speak English. I love the design of my meals. Also, It was a bit overpriced compared with other restaurants in that neighborhood, but you get what you pay.

Gorgeous views, excellent food and very nice service. Be prepared. This restaurant is pricey but the experience is worth it. If you reserve in advance you may be lucky enough to get a table right on the ocean with the waves crashing beneath you. Fish was super fresh. Two for one margaritas on Sunday. We were asked to tip in cash. We did so gladly

We walked in without a reservation on a Sunday night and got a table despite it being busy. Luis was amazing and so was the food and the view. Plus it’s so wide open that the air just moves right through and in our 5 visits to Zih, this is one of the best dinner experiences we’ve had.
