I went to La Trattoria on Friday August 20 at 7:43pm. I informed the waiter and waitress I knew what I want to order and I wanted to place the order right away. I also informed the short/glasses individual that he can bring any food as soon as it is done. Then my friend order his food 10 minutes after me. About 5 minutes after my friend ordered his food, a brand new couple sat across from us. Long story short, the couple ended up getting their food before us. We had to wait close to 45-50 minutes to get our. When I asked the same man (short, fat, glasses guy) why did the couple that arrives about 15 after us got their food before us, he first argued that they had Not being there after us, I told him the opposite. Then he stated that the food is being cook in order it was received. Which I highlighted that I told him that I want any food to come out as soon as possible..... Also, for the calamari, other than just lime, no other sauce was offered. I will definitely never return

We broke a golden rule by trying a place that has pictures on the menu, and were we happy we did. What a pleasant surprise. This was genuinely one of our favourite meals in Tulum. Excellent pasta. We ordered the fresh pasta with the Norma and Arrabiata.. both delicious, served with the fresh Tagliatelle and the Tagliationi... Absolutely perfect. Highly recommended. Reading the other reviews, I disagree about it being expensive.. yes the pasta portions are Primi portions so not huge, but for 160-180 pesos - who's complaining... Coffee was excellent too.

You need to eat here. Let Lalo and the boys serve you up amazing fresh homemade pasta with a plethora of sauces and choices for every taste. They also do 2 for 1 happy hour almost all the time and make fantastic pina coladas. It was of the best pasta I've ever had and I've been to Italy more than once.

I’ve been dying to try this place for a while and it was finally open when we walked past! It’s just as good as everyone else says. The pastas were amazing, the wine was great (I got the Montepulciano and it was nice and chilled), and the staff are so sweet. If you’re needing a break from tacos, this is your spot!

Excellent authentic Italian food (the trattoria is run by an Italian and it seems to be the epicenter of Italians in Tulum as many of them just dropped by for a quick chat over the course of our dinner), great selection of wines. We had bruschette as appetizers and two different plates of frutti di mare pasta accompanied by a Sauvignon Blanc and a glass of Primitivo. They offer homemade pasta with every dish, Italian desserts and Illy coffee.

We came here for a pizza to share, diavola, it wasn't superb but it was decent. Service was great and the atmosphere too. I believe they're specialized in Italian if I remember correctly, from what I saw the pastas looked very good! Good if you want a quick Italian snack. Fresh homemade Italian pasta, the food here is amazing! I keep coming back to try everything on the menu. Even though the service isn't the greatest, and the servers turn over rate is frequent. At this point I know more about the restaurant than some of the new servers. Don't let the small details deter you from trying some of the best pasta in Tulum !! 100% recommend, I had the seafood pasta and my girlfriend had the pepperoni pizza. We can honestly say it was one of the nicest meals we have had, along with the food they served good wine at reasonable prices for Tulum. We would be glad to go back Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
