First time visitor. I've driven past for so many years, never been in. Very cozy family-oriented atmosphere, staff was very helpful and super friendly. Interestingly, I arrived a few minutes before 6pm, and promptly at 6pm the place filled up. RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED! The fried cauliflower was super tasty, and the trout was really amazing, cooked perfectly! A must visit!
Drinks were good that’s about it. Ordered rib eye steaks, fatty, gave us knives that wouldn’t cut the meat, finally had to ask for silverware, no blue cheese for salad, French fries not cooked and cold, baked potatoes cold and not cooked either, had two drinks for each and cost was over 125.00 without tip. Very very sad for a landmark restaurant, wouldn’t go there again Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Had 1 of the best Lemon drop martini. Jumbo shrimp cocktail, lobster stuffed ravioli. The service spot on. I strongly recommend a reservation. The prices were fair. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My wife picked this based on the star rating. Unfortunately, we decided to go. I normally wouldn’t write a review this negative but this restaurant was insulting. They had a banner touting best Italian restaurant in Pueblo 2012. I’m unsure what has happened in 10 years but all I can say, this was just plain bad. It took all of three bites to determine that it was just bad all the way around. The waitress looked embarrassed to ask if we wanted the rest boxed up. One look on my face immediately had her respond with, I’m guessing not? My wife and I make pasta from scratch and we would be happy to share the recipe. The recipe includes how to cut the spaghetti to resemble spaghetti instead of fettuccine. The pasta was an almost dull yellow. Typically a sign of too much egg. In this case it was flavorless but did taste hand made but without enough flower. The pasta sauce tasted fresh out of a Ragu jar with a teaspoon of tomato paste. There was no other spices noticeable in the sauce. The sausage was flavorless and the consistency was that of a blood sausage. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
I have lived in Pueblo, Colorado for 10 years and La Tronica's is one of my happy places to break bread and celebrate humanity with family and friends. Having grown up in Japan where upon entrance of any dining establishment you're greeted with the phrase 'Irrashaimase' which means Welcome. In Pueblo when I enter La Tronica's, I feel like I'm being greeted by an entire family of friends and community. Our waiter this evening was Sam and she was extraordinary from the moment she took our very first drink order and delivered our pickles and condiments. From the Peroni beers to the amazing dirty martinis we moved from appetizers including deep-fried ravioli to pastas and fried chicken only to be celebrated again with another round of extraordinary dirty martinis. A visit to La Tronica's is a testament to time and a legacy pilgrimage honoring the best of Pueblo pride. A visit to Bessemer on the Southside is not complete without a dish from the kitchen of La Tronica's. Get off I-25 and experience Bessemer again for the very first time. LaTronica's has a nice cozy atmosphere. We were greeted nicely when we walked through the door. The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices in general are higher than most. My New York Steak was very good. Hand cut fries are not a favorite of mine and I didn't care for them. My wife's ravioli and meatballs were good but lacked flavor. The restaurant is not as traditional Italian as I'm accustomed to. I would recommend to others and likely return again. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
I'm not sure how this place earned so much praise in the past, honestly. I don't like writing negative reviews, but after our experience it makes sense to. Went for someone's birthday, waited forever to receive food for our party. In the meantime, we got wine in a baby sized bottle, the waitress was super rude, and we got salads of a laughable quality. Seriously, it was like 3 bites of lettuce and nothing else. The food was average at best? I'm not super picky so that wasn't my biggest gripe, but it certainly wasn't worth the wait or the atmosphere. I know most of the party I was with did not care for the food, though. This place is a cute little restaurant but definitely over priced. Sweet staff and decent food but bland and underdone for the price. Just reached the “good enough” mark and isn’t very impressive but good food all together. Definitely needs a price check though.
Food good. Staff exceptionally friendly. Extensive menu for Italian restaurant. Photo is remnants of wine ice-cream shared for dessert. Had trout tonight. Excellent. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
I have been going to this restaurant for over 50 years. With a 30 year break in between. This time I found the food to be every bit as good as I remembered and the service was extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommended to anyone that loves Italian food.
