Nice roadside place with great local food. Portions were really big (I ordered both Tom Yum Goong and Thai pork omelette with rice, and couldn't finish everything, one dish would've been perfectly enough). The only disadvantage could be a location - the tables are on a terrace directly by the main car road, and it was very very loud. We had a great dinner at Laankao Restaurant. All dishes were fresh, yummy and authentic. The service was equally great due to the very sympathetic owners, special wishes like vegetarian options were accommodated. Aside from us, several locals enjoyed their dinner here. Really good authentic thai restaurant. Might not look much from the outside, but food is amazing, made with attention and tasted so fresh. Everything is home cooked on the spot and it’s like your grandmother made it. Really recommend this small family restaurant!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very delicious Thai food with a large menu. The prices are cheap and the portions are large, so it’s great value for money. The food is served quickly also. The two ladies who run the restaurant are very friendly and the young kid who lives there is fun too. I recommend the Pad Thai, Panang curry and Pad krapow. Price per person ฿1–100

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Koh Samui, the owners are friendly and the kid there always brought his toys to play with me while waiting for the food. For food, I would recommend you order Pad Krapow, Pad Thai, and Panang. These three dishes are the best. They always cook quickly, with big portions and delicious.
