If you feel hungry after visiting Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim, have a meal at Le Macaron. You will be served good beignets, macarons and gelato. Based on the visitors' opinions, waiters offer good espresso.

This place had me at the first latte! Perfectly situated on Meeting Street down from the Charleston Place Hotel, it's an easy walk when you are out and about enjoying the sites of Charleston. Not only is the coffee amazing, but they have a variety of macarons and chocolates and candies!
This is a great little pastry shop with wonderful pastries that are colorful, creative, and even better to eat. The staff are attentive, easygoing, and very helpful. Definitely a can't miss so in Charleston if you're a fan of chocolate.

Great helpful and friendly staff. A huge variety of flavors. They have other tasty treats there. If you're walking down Meeting Street I encourage you to go in and see what they have. It's a great experience. Personally I try to go at least once a month or even more to grab some delicious macarons. You will be blown away by how spot-on the flavors are.

Cute little place that was close to the place we stayed while in town. Welcome as it was rather hot and gelato sounded great. They had an array of gelato flavors as well as macarons and other confections. It was not busy when we stopped in the middle of the afternoon and there was outdoor seating which was a plus. Mango gelato was delicious with great flavor and the hazelnut gelato was also delicious. Did not sample the macarons but they looked good.

If i could give this place zero stars I would. I bought a tiramisu chocolate for $3 today. I was so excited to try this and waited till I got to the car about 5 minutes later, went to split it in half and was met with MOLD. Not just one spot, three significant spots of mold. If I had not cracked it open I would have eaten this. I am absolutely disgusted. Needless to say I will NOT be returning.

We went about after lunch; honestly I was disappointed because when we were there they did not have very many pastries out at all. Mainly just chocolates. All of the chocolates were very cute and insta-worthy; but they were milk chocolate and honestly did not taste very good (I'm more of a dark chocolate person myself). The heart chocolate we got really was not that good. It was about $14 and was thick chocolate that was hard to bite into. I don't think I would go back.
Stopped in one day just to try, and oh my. These are by far some of the best macarons I have had. The birthday cake and vanilla were my favorite but they were all delicious and super tasty!
Come here every time I am in town. Fantastic coffee, love the berry beignets for a breakfast treat :) the macarons and chocolates are fab too. Always a winner for gifting or to bring to dinner for some fancy dessert. They have cute gift boxes. Love that they always have something new to try. Seasonal flavors are always fun. Staff is always delightful.
My friend and I visited the shop two times during our recent visit to Charleston and everything we had was SO yummy. We had "several" macaron's, a beignet and gelato. The staff was so nice & friendly and the macaron's were some of the best I've ever had. My favorite was the raspberry and my friend loved the Madagascar Vanilla. :)
Not to be confused with the rest of the tourist traps on this street. In fact, it’s surprising, dare I say, refreshing how decent of a place this is. They keep it simple and make good stuff for your cheat day extravagance. Always love the people they have working in there. It is indeed a franchise, but not the worst.
