Tastiest beef rib ever! Used to go there often when I was doing PhD at U of I. Today visited after 12 years with my 9 yo. We both enjoyed it! There is no table service but I still like dining in. We ordered the pork sandwich, fries and bbq beans. The bbq pork was actually sliced not pulled. The mild bbq sauce was a bit different, somewhat sour and not traditional. The fries were good , bbq beans were average, and sandwich was large but taste a bit below average compared to top bbq restaurants. Side orders were on the small side. This place was the licious and stuart and i loved it the lot. Stuart (my boyfriend) brought me to here because he was wanting some bar b then q which he loves of course. up on our arrivel i was greetid with the glowing sign of the porgy. and we each ordered a woah nelly which is a sausage with brisk it and bar b then q sauce. i ordered mine with miled sauce and stuarts was ordered with spicey sauce. After we’re done ordering we looked for a place to sit at and they had a lot of choices. you could sit outside but also inside. thanks to my influencer statis we got the best seat in the house. i also got a pickle on the side. our woah nelleys were so the licious and we could not get enough. my pickle was also the best one i’ve had and the barb then q sauce on both of the sausages were so good and yummy. overall i give lil porgys a 10/10 because it was good and yeah Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10

Porgys used to be so good and quality has gone down. The pork sandwich was very dry; shrimp and polish sandwich was good. Portion size has gone down and they used to include a pickle and hand wipes. Now the pickle is extra. From my perspective I’d rather they charge a bit more and take it back what it used to be; the best BBQ in C-U. The bbq sauce was excellent.

Champaign-Urbana has much better BBQ options than this place. Brisket was dry and extremely thin with no visible smoke ring on any of the meat. Was closer to roast beef than real brisket. It was covered in a 'mild sauce' that could not possibly consider itself BBQ sauce. The baked beans were absolutely straight from a can. The coleslaw slightly resembled something house made, but wasn't very good either. The lemon shake-up was lukewarm lemon water with almost no sweetness at all. French fries came with the sandwich, however after eating them I wish they didn't. Not good at all. I am from Champaign and I love this restaurant but three out of the last four times I’ve gone the rib tips have been almost an edible just hard pieces of meat and bone, so I’m not sure what’s happening on the management side but it’s sad to say I don’t think it’s going to be a restaurant that I flock to when I come back to Champaign unless they get better again. Saw there were good reviews but the food wasn't that great. Maybe it was an off day. The sauce was good though. Had the beef brisket sandwich which was on special. It was dry and didn't have any flavor. Potato salad side was also bland. I'm bummed because I love BBQ. Pickle was good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10

Had the beef brisket and it was awesome! A friend had the chicken and ribs and they really liked it. He had the mixed sauce and it was a bit spicy. Mild sauce was just right with the brisket. Service was quick. Place is clean and nice.
