I love this place with all my heart. It's the place I go to for a sense of peace and to get in touch with myself. It has warm colours everywhere, from the interior to the food itself. I feel healthy and good when I eat here because the food is truly organic. I also love their coffee cups.
I’m sitting here right now too full to move. It’s not an exaggeration that every bite was delicious. I’ve been here a handful of times and the entrees are always phenomenal! They actually made me like carrots! (Pictured is a seasonal falafel bowl)
The drinks are hit or miss - the iced strawberry refresher I got in the summer wasn’t quite worth the price point - but again, great food and service.

Life Alive is a bit hit or a big miss for me. I’ve had some great salads here; and I think I’ll stick to those. I unfortunately tried their Nori Wrap which was a mistake. The nori was soggy and really hard to chew through. (Not crisp). The brown rice was hard and not cooked thoroughly. It was also not sticky brown rice so the inside of the wrap just fell out. It was a thoroughly disgusting meal and I’m glad I didn’t try it first because otherwise I wouldn’t be back. I hope they take this off their menu. As well, we tried the spicy peanut noodles. Only get this if you want overcooked noodles. They had no chew to them.
This rating has more to do with the specific drink I ordered than anything else. I’ve been to other Life Alives and really enjoyed the food. It’s very healthy and tasty.
This time, I ordered the rainbow wrap (not pictured) and the strawberries and cream smoothie.
The rainbow wrap was okay. I enjoyed the ingredients inside. The sauce was quite tasty. But the pickled onions were a choice I didn’t love. The pickling tasted awesome, but they didn’t hide the raw onion taste. Also, I question the structural integrity of the wrap. There is only a thin layer of seaweed, so after you take a bite, the rest of the wrap falls apart. I had to use a spoon to eat most of it.
But the thing I didn’t like at all was the smoothie. When it was served to me, it was too full, so some smoothie splashed onto the table and made it slick and hard to hold the cup. The smoothie itself wasn’t amazing. There was a chunk of smoothie that was almost like ice that made it hard to drink. It wasn’t smoothly mixed. And there wasn’t any distinct cream flavor, so it tasted all strawberry. Given the cup’s size and lack of distinct flavors, it felt a bit overpriced.

Life Alive is one of my favorite cafes around Boston. With multiple locations, they serve plant-based food in a bright, lively setting.
The inside of the Davis Square location is bright, colorful, and welcoming. Great for lunch, the food is always delish.
My favorite things to get are usually the Avocado Toast, Living Caesar Salad, and the Açaí bowls. All of them are super flavorful and hit the spot!
They have some really good smoothies too but sometimes they don’t blend them long enough so there tends to be clumps in them.
Usually service is good but they tend to get really busy around lunch. I’ve also had a couple times where my online orders for pickup have got lost which was frustrating.
Overall, I’m so glad Life Alive opened a location in Davis Square, it’s definitely one of my go-to spots!

The seating goes fast. This place doubles as a good eatery and a place where people hang out just to do their studies or work. The menu will please you whether you're vegetarian or not. The meals are priced fairly - I would not say the same for the smoothies, but they do taste good. Outdoor seating in the summer.

This inside of this place is so colorful and cute.
I got an iced matcha spearmint oat milk latte. It was pretty good - It is unsweetened FYI. The portions are a perfect lunch size. The food is clearly fresh and prepared same day. It was amazing. I got the teriyaki tofu bowl +avocado and I was NOT disappointed!! The tofu was cooked to perfection and the meal had tons of flavor. Sometimes tofu can be kind of gross is not prepared well but they did an amazing job.
Great place for celiacs, vegetarians, & vegans! Tons of delicious options. Will be coming back.

It may get cold in Somerville but this spot has a warm atmosphere and the best warm bowls in town. Made with fresh ingredients the delightfully tasty menu options will leave you wanting to come back and try them all. We had the Avocado Sol and Thai Peanut Sutra warm bowls. But, now we are eager to return to have the soup and noodle dishes too. The beverage options are also plentiful; including fresh juices, smoothies, and coffees. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. 5 out of 5 will be back.

I moved to Ann Arbor recently, and have been missing life alive more than I thought I would. Life alive (especially this location) always has quick service, peaceful atmosphere and affordable pricing. Great variety on the menu---with balanced nourishing food. I never thought I would miss a chain restaurant, but this place has 10x better food than literally anywhere I have eaten in the Midwest. The only negative here is if you are watching your sugar intake, 4/5 smoothie bowls come from the machine and are essentially sorbet. Avoid that and go for the green smoothie bowl which is blended fruit, avocado, and kale. Top with hemp seeds and you have a perfect low sugar bowl!
