My biggest fave is the oatmeal raisin cookies but the molasses cookies are a close second. I always buy four cookies but for some reason only three make it home. They are starting a cafe, so I'll get a latte some days. I also enjoy the piroshki. This place reminds me of bakeries when I was a kid back in Brooklyn.
Lina's is great. Eastern European bakery goods are not as sweet as most Americans are used to, but they make great stuff. The cinnamon buns they make for Sunday mornings are awesome and the Macrons are delish. They also have a few items on a breakfast menu now.
Tried a few things in store, prolly won’t go back again, never seen a pie crust that thick in my life before and it’s rock hard, hate to waste
add: Owner replied saying that I just cut it and threw it away without trying, which was not true, I forced myself eat one piece, it was staled dried up dough, as you can see there were only 3 pieces in the trash, I think your pastry chef really have some work to do if that's made fresh daily, plus why would I wanna trash food like a joke? That lil pie cost me like $7-8? not only this, I also threw away half of the lemon cookie. I am sorry your skill isn't there, maybe reduce the variety and focus on less items to acutally improve the taste before you zap your customers for lying
We stopped in early in the day after their grand opening in the new location. They were in the process of getting the display cases restocked after a frantic first day. We had no trouble finding things that made us very happy. I tried their macaroon with pineapple and it was a delight - I'm usually a traditionalist but the fruit was a revelation. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the rugelach, which were picture perfect, as well as tasty. We were just starting out on a long drive, so we didn't have a way to transport the pirozhki safely, so we'll be looking forward to that on a future visit.
I was hungry, so I decided to try their peroshki. They have a good selection; vegetable, chicken and mushroom, beef, beef and cheese, hotdog wrap. The only issue was the price is a but much. I know the overhead is pricey, but since they had opened, it looks kinda slow as per in-store traffic and table turns.
I tried their meringue and it's bomb.
Food is good price is meh.
I'll come back for the meringue tho.

Stopped in because that amazing bakery smell was wafting out the door! The ham and cheese hand pie is so soft and buttery, it almost didn’t make it into the photo! Perfect post-workout snack, 12/10, will be visiting here again!
Fantastic Eastern European bakery! Meat crepes and syrniki (farmer's cheese pancakes) off the breakfast menu were delicious. Really good soups and pirozhski as well! Can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Everything tastes authentic and homemade, and Lina is very friendly and truly cares about the customer's experience.
The girl at the counter was very helpful and friendly. Great service. I came here late in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised they still had a good collection of choices to pick from. I got the molasses cookies, peanut butter cookies, gluten free chocolate chip cookies, the vanilla muffin, and assorted macaron flavors.
The molasses cookie was very flavorful. I wouldn't mind a little less sugar on top but this was my favorite cookie here. The peanut butter and G.F. chocolate chip cookies were yummy tasting but texturally were quite dry.
The vanilla muffin was very good. I've never tried a vanilla muffin before and it was moist and flavorful. Great crumb inside too!
The macarons are all texturally perfect. I thought the flavors could've been a bit stronger in some of them, I wasn't sure what I was eating for some of them. But they were beautiful and yummy regardless.
I will definitely be back to try some more items in the future.
I recently moved to lake forest park and saw this bakery, noticing that great harvest bread’s logo was underneath. I have to say…I was so disappointed. I can make cinnamon rolls better than this. Tastes like it has preservatives and they literally pulled out a McCormick 5 gallon tub of “frosting” to cake on top. Stuck it in the microwave and charged $5. Once again, I could bake better than this. Will never go here again. Bring back great harvest bread please, I’m so disappointed.
We are so happy that we discovered this place. Cooking at home time and energy consuming, Lina's made our life so much easier. Delicious soups,Chicken meatball soup is my favorite, love her cabbage rolls, pirogy pelmeny, deserts are amazing, Napoleon is my favorite . Great menu for everyones taste.
Thank you Lina !
