My husband and I came here 3 times and the service was consistently excellent. Hugo is super friendly and others are also polite and prompt. We had their tacos, burritos, nachos, and cheese burger. Their cheeseburger is epic! It’s a double with avocado and grilled onions and it comes with fries for $8.99. It’s an amazing deal. Their salsa is flavorful and chips come out warm. Finally, a nice local place to get great Mexican food! We went there on a Friday night - it was busy, but not overly crowded. Incredibly friendly staff and great food at great prices. Will definitely come again! My wife got the veggie tacos and I got the steak and shrimp special - both were excellent! Great flavors by the plate load. I wanted tacos for my birthday, I mean who doesn't? Decided to check out Lis Azares, the dining room was bustling and there was a steady stream of hungry folks. We all enjoyed our plates, I tried to share my barbaco, but no one wanted to share theirs because it's that good. Delicious flavors in every bite, only downside is they had no sweets to finish. Only had veggie burrito so far, can’t wait to go back and try more. We’ve needed a good mexican restaurant in downtown des plaines for SO long, i’m grateful it now seems there is one! New spot in Des Plaines. Friendly people and fast service. Shrimp tacos were good and I love the salsa and horchata. I also enjoyed my chicken flautas. I also enjoyed the music they played in the restaurant. Please add tamales to the menu. I'm not Mexican, I am Caribbean. I don't know how to make tamales, but I love to eat tamales. I live very close by so still working through the menu. So far had both burritos they had (I prefer the rancheros) and a quesadilla. I'll be going through the sopes, tacos, and breakfast items eventually. It's a new place so the staff is super super nice. So far very glad it popped up! Been to their other 2 locations in Chicago and excited to try Des Plaines location. Taco’s are excellent! El Pastor the best!! Love how the pineapple are in bits through out! Shrimp are nice & plump! Carnitas so moist! Right balance of onion & cilantro 👍 rice was fluffy. Service was excellent!! Good location. Great service. Friendly staff. Lovely place. Great location. Plenty of parking. The chicken tacos were ok. The barbacoa burrito suiza was ok. We had been hoping for more zip in the flavors of the food. They also have delicious pan (Mexican bread) on request.
