Happy hour any where they hang surf boards from the ceiling and twinkle lights over the beach view 🏖️- but especially at Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar! 🏄 Wear your coastal casual here, no need to dress it up. Grab a seat at the bar, on one of the many levels or at the picnic tables where you can keep your feet in the sand. Whether a mid-week happy hour or an easy evening out, we love Lucy’s! We want to shout out to the two managers Macy and Taylor who helped set up a wedding party celebration for 16. We all flew or drove from North of Dallas Texas and Oklahoma City to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary vow renewal on the beach in front of Lucy's. My husband and I come to Biloxi frequently and we wanted to share this beautiful area with our friends and family. Our server Chris was exceptional and the atmosphere was great. Food was ok. We got the nachos and instead of an appetizer it's a meal for more than 2 people. Beer wasn't cold. My brownie was burnt. If I lived here I wouldn't be a regular. Brent was a great server! We had the flamingo punch, chips and salsa, fried fish basket, and beef tacos. The food was very fresh. The drink had great presentation but it could be stronger! Nothing about this experience was worth it. It was pretty empty when we got in there, and we still had to wait to be seated because the poor hostess was trying to prep a 9 top. We ended up at the bar, where service was slow. Food took a while to come out, and when it did, it was lackluster. Burger was not dressed correctly and was taken back to be corrected, and when it FINALLY came back out, the onions, lettuce etc. came out in another basket. Exactly why did the burger need to go back? The chicken in the Brioche chicken and bacon was dry and DEFINITELY was frozen at the start of the day. Shrimp and grits were reported to be decent but salty. Much like my mood after this experience. Service was like frozen molasses. Want to experience Lucy's? Go to New Orleans. Everything about our visit was amazing. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was terrific, and I could have spent the whole day sitting outside sipping on Mermaid Water!! Food and service was great. Food is pricey, even the appetizers, which includes chips and salsa, is usually complimentary everywhere else. Waiter kept bringing my husband a beer even though he didn't order it. Other than that it was a great place for lunch. The food was great and our server provided good customer service. There's lots of tvs to catch a game while you eat. The wait was long and the hostess didn't let us know when our table was ready. We were told after a 40 minute wait that our table was being cleaned and would be ready in a couple of minutes. After another 15 minutes of not seeing the hostess again and waiting around we had to ask if the table was ready before finally being seated. One of the restrooms was out downstairs and the only other option was a closet with a toilet in it upstairs that didn't even have a sink. Okay the place is beautiful don’t get me wrong. As a local, I’ve tried this place a few times. My food is always cold. This review is my breaking point. There’s a reason the parking lot is empty compared to shaggys every single day. This place is going under if they can’t make hot food. Bartender downstairs was just unfriendly and boring. Inattentive. It’s Sunday and they said they aren’t busy so there’s no reason both my moms burger and my chicken is cold. We aren’t complainers we just don’t come back places when the food sucks.
