When I first saw that Google had 4.9 for this restaurant I was skeptical. in the states it is really hard to achieve a 4.9. if James Beard or the Michelin organization came to Islam Mujeres, this place would get both accreditations. I cannot wait to eat at this restaurant again. One of the top five best meals that I have ever eaten! The prices are also extremely reasonable for the exceptional quality and attention to detail. The service was also outstanding. If there was any complaint I would have, it's that there is no air conditioning and it's really stuffy inside. We set outside and sweat profusely and enjoyed every single second of it! You need to make a reservation. We did not but we watched a lot of people get turned away because we got there early. Probably our best dinner on the island. Exquisitely crafted cocktails, fabulous appetizers and outstanding main courses. Truly excellent service above and beyond what we have experienced elsewhere and great live music beginning at 7 PM. Plus a funky art store for after dinner shopping. Do yourself a favour and don’t skip this spot! By far the best meal I had on the island. We had the shrimp skewers, grilled octopus and green curry snapper. Everything was a 10/10 and the live music was very nice too - I will definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A truly wonderful experience. The food was fresh, well presented and delicious. The octopus was cooked to perfection, soft and tender not chewy. Grouper was cooked very well with a terrific flavor profile. The garlic was the perfect amount in order to add flavor and not overwhelm. The cheesecake had a beautiful presentation and the flavor did not disappoint. Service was top notch. The waitress was attentive, knowledgeable and very welcoming. Out exploring the main town and stopped in for a drink. Super cool place with very friendly staff (thanks Carlos!). All four of us tried something different and they were all delicious and beautifully garnished. The pisco sour was a stand out. Sat along the sidewalk and enjoyed our meals. Friendly and attentive. Wife had pear and prosciutto. When she thanked the owner, she was visibly moved- proud and appreciative. I went to Mahaché because I saw a lot of great reviews here and I was definitely not disappointed!!! The food was amazing (I had tuna and my wife the steak), the bartender/waitress was great and the place is super cute! I strongly recommended! Great place for tacos! Reasonably priced, great flavours- I would highly recommend! The service was good, husband and I managed well even if we didn't speak Spanish much. Lots of seating inside, and seems to have a spot where there could be live music. Husband and I got fish tacos and strip steak tacos. Now, most people might have been pretty content with the tacos the way they were, but husband and I really preferred putting some hot sauce on. It really adds another layer of flavour that fully satisfies that taco craving. Interior has a warm, beachy ambience, with plenty of local artwork displayed on the walls available for purchase as well. Be advised, Isla Mujeres is not very car-friendly- the roads are super tight, and mostly only room for gold carts, motor scooters, motorcycles, bikes, and taxis. Also, just be advised- most/many places only accept or prefer cash. Paying with credit leads to extra fees sometimes. There are banks in the neighborhood (North Part), and other currency exchange kiosks on the island. For Mahaché, we did pay by credit successfully. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
