Yes, the setting is very nice, and our breakfasts – when they finally came – were quite good. But it took an hour-and-a-half for them to come. And yes, we took into account how busy the restaurant was (one large table, but other than that, a few two's and three's). The service was indifferent. To this former waiter, the fault is with management for not training the service staff.
More than an hour into our wait, another server showed up (he apparently works in the shop downstairs). He knew what he was doing, He saw us sitting with empty coffee cups, and came over to ask if we wanted to order! We told him we'd done so long ago, and he made things happen, bringing our meals in about ten minutes. Had he not shown up, I'm pretty sure we'd still be there.
On Trip Advisor, the many negative reviews are each answered by the owner with an odd mix of aggression and defensiveness, and nasty accusations.

We went to this place twice.
The members of staff were very friendly and polite. They take an interest and are able to make intelligent recommendations pertaining to the menu.
The menu was fairly diverse. The fruit salad was really nice and colourful.
One of the best aspects of this place is the view. It is great to sit near the front of the restaurant and see the many things that Bequia has to offer.
Why oh why didn't I read the reviews first? Although service was okay, she asked if we will leave a tip... when she took our order! That's not how it's supposed to work.
My chicken and chips were completely inedible. The toughest chicken I've ever been served. The fries looked good but they were a soggy mess.
My wife's BLT was edible but came with nothing. Probably a good thing.
We will not be back.

The best coffee in town!
Delicious omelette and the mango smoothie is why we all keep coming back - along with a super friendly team. This has become a firm favourite when I visit Bequia. The hub of the town and where you can come and go as a solo traveller and always made to feel welcome.
The simple cuisine is down very well and breakfast / brunch time you’re hard to find a table!
Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Really nice and convenient food spot. I have breakfast there after arriving on the ferry. The service and food was good and the food didn't take long to come either.

Andy, was more than hospitable and made our time in bequia a wonderful experience. We had no money, and nothing to trade, but good stories and good vibes. Miss this place!

Curry Fish Roti
Unfortunately cannot recommend. There is a nice view of the port/marina and they seem friendly enough but the food is terrible. Pancakes were burnt and hair on the plate. Hygiene and food standards are low so cannot recommend to eat here.
What a great spot seated on a veranda looking over the bay of Bequia port. Lovely breeze, pretty view of the beach, boats and palm trees. They had a tasty vegan friendly callaloo soup; for the meat eaters the burger was well appreciated, the fish soup had plenty of fish but some said the base could have had more fish flavour, the chicken wings were highly rated as being well seasoned. We did get there at a between meals time and they were very accommodating to get our food out so we could still make the last ferry to Saint Vincent.

Laughably bad. A US$25.00 soft poached eggs on toast arrived after half an hour. Poorly presented, hard boiled and with half a banana?! Find somewhere else for breakfast...
