I stopped by that area for lunch and had no idea of what I was in the mood for. I ended up getting two slices one sausage and one pepperoni. The slices were huge, and Delicious. The guys working there were awesome. They stopped what they were doing and took care of my other right away. I felt like someone special. I would suggest you give them a try

The people and atmosphere was great. The pizza was not something I'd wish to have again. The sauce and crust seemed to lack salt. This was one of the first times in my life that I've simply not eaten the crust.

Today was the last time that my family and I will ever walk into Marrones. We were greeted with "No tables available, you have to sit at the bar." So we did and it was after an Eagles victory, so of course everyone was in an excited mood; including my son. My son, while being autistic can be sometimes the loudest in the room, that said, he was in fact the loudest person in the room, but was carrying on a respectful discussion about the Eagles with other Eagles fans seated at the bar, who were engaging with my son. The owner or bartender named Patti asked that he lower his voice. He tried, but he just can't to which I just asked for the check, paid promptly and exited. Next time we'll go down the street to Sam's brick oven. The pizza here is very good however and while everything in this review is true, I want everyone to know, who reads this to try and be more respectful and be more accepting of one's differences; especially when it comes to the special needs community. Go Birds!

Awful. Just flat out bad. First time ordering based on reviews and it was very disappointing. How do you make pizza this bad? Not sure what all these other people are ordering that say it’s great. I found it bland, overcooked, and very thick with little cheese. We got double cheese and pepperoni and it was awful. Pizza and salad (which was literally just chopped romaine and tomato) was $30…should be a crime for what we got.
The only thing they were serving were small pizzas and they were terrible. The dough was dry and crumbles when bitten. I don't recommend this restaurant and I will not be going back.

We traveled an hour out of our way just to have Marrone's pizza and chicken parmigiana. The pizza crust is unlike any other. More like hearty/ crusty, Italian bread than pizza crust. The sauce is rich and tasty. The chicken parmigiana is served with handmade pasta and uses thick juicy chicken breasts rather than cutlets.
I have been going here for as long as I can remember. Old school restaurant Italian style pizza. Been around since 1940something.

Phenomenal pizza restaurant...relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful owners, amazing and sweet staff, delicious food. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and it felt like we walked into a family member’s home.
You can get your (piping hot) pizza with the sauce on the top or under the cheese! Even the salad is delicious...fresh ingredients, homemade dressing. And although we didn’t have the dessert...WOW it sounded delicious. Next time!
Thanks to Patti for an amazing dinner and Nick for the chilled beer glasses and fun convo! We’ll be back!
This was seriously some of the most amazing pizza I’ve ever had! The staff was so kind to us and recommended their signature pizza with cheese on the bottom and sauce on top. I’d never had this before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but turns out it was a huge treat. The sauce was flavorful, there was a perfect amount of cheese, and the dough was perfectly cooked and quite airy (yet had a great deal of substance to it).

Cheese Pizza
A cozy Italian restaurant that reminds you of the small family owned restaurants in South Philly with great dishes and friendly atmosphere. I had the pizzas which are so amazing that you can't believe they wouldn't just make them as their primary dish but their dinners are equally good. The meatballs are a must! There is a small 9 seat bar inside offering mixed drinks, wine, bottled beer and a single beer on tap. Parking is a challenge if the small lot is filled but we've never had an issue when arriving before 5pm.
